A judge here turned loose an accused axe murderer of three on $100,000 surety bond, which means he only had to come up with $10,000 cash!
This isn't jaywalking or litterin', and he wouldn't be charged with the three murders if there wasn't at least probable cause to charge him. Now we've got probable multiple axe murderers running around loose AGAIN! Anybody want to bet he'll skip on the bond??? Thanks, Your Honor, I feel much safer now.
"SANTA FE (KRQE) – Nicholas Ortiz, who is accused of killing Llyod and Dixie Ortiz and their son Steven with a pick ax, is now out on bond. After his arrest in February, Ortiz was placed on a no bond hold. Despite pleas from friends and family of the victims, a judge set his bond at $100,000 cash surety last week. This means that he had to come up with 10 percent of the $100,000, which he did.
He is accused of killing the family in their El Rancho home north of Santa Fe in 2011. Police say Ortiz, who is not related to the victims, committed the crime to steal cash and marijuana."
