The Princess of Wales has cancer

Did they actually get into her records or attempted to gain access but failed? I've heard both.
apparently the 3 attempted to access her records, and failed because they are stored very securely... whether the 3 acted together or alone, is not clear, but they all face disciplinary procedure

from the news....

They are facing disciplinary action following a potential breach of data at The London Clinic which treated both the Princess of Wales and King Charles in January. The King’s personal data was not compromised, it is understood.

Kate has been told about the potential data breach, ITV reports.
On Tuesday evening the Mirror said at least one member of staff reportedly tried to access Kate’s notes after she was admitted for abdominal surgery at the private hospital based in Marylebone.
Details of Kate’s condition have not been disclosed but Kensington Palace previously said it was not cancer-related and that the princess wished for her personal medical information to remain private.

The Information Commissioner’s Office said it had received a breach report.
A spokesperson said: “We can confirm that we have received a breach report and are assessing the information provided.”

The hospital is said to have launched an urgent investigation, with a spokesperson saying: “We firmly believe that all our patients, no matter their status, deserve total privacy and confidentiality regarding their medical information.”

I hope she continues to make a good recovery.

She made it quite clear in her announcement that she wants her and her family left alone to heal. Yet this morning the BBC (and no doubt the rest of the media) were reporting live from outside Windsor Castle where they are. Why do they need live crew there? Do they just not get it? Or not care? 😠😠😠
Well said.

My heart is with her and her family, especially William. To lose his mother young, grandparents within the last few years, wife and father both currently battling cancer is a lot for someone his age. He also lost a friend recently to suicide and has lost his brother in a way that's almost worse than death. And all of this played out on the world stage. :(

this is a very good point Anne... and not something most of us have stopped to consider.. and in the meantime the public are making demands on him to continue working as he should.. and to keep them updated on his father & wife's conditions...

Given that as the Prince of Wales he has to meet with all sorts of people, of various languages and nationalities, to have to gen up on whatever it is he's meeting them for and learn all of that .. and generally work pretty hard all week learning everything that he need to know for that weeks' work meeting and supporting many different institutions, and always with a smile on his face.. and never put a word wrong.. and at the same time be the best husband and father he can

Princess Anne in her 70's has really stepped up even more in her capacity , to help out.. she's always been a hard worker, harder than all of the royals except the Queen.. and she continues to do this in her 70's to support her brother, and her Nephew... Camilla who is also in her 70's.. cries off a lot.. stating ha it's all too tiring for her.. so William and Anne really have most of it on their shoulders, followed only by Edward & Sophie.. Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.. Charles' youngest brother & wife..

Just adding a little Camilla humor...

On the world stage, yes. But I don't feel sorry for them because of that. They were born to be in the spotlight. They are loved, cherished, followed, and greeted by British people the length and breadth of the nation. It's not what they're forced to do, it's simply what they do. They have people who help them with messaging, PR, and media. As much as we'd like to think they are, at the end of the day they're not like you and I. All of them know what they're in for - or they can opt out as William's brother has.

Tracy Ullman is Vile.. unfunny.. and repulsive, which is why we don't give her any work on tv in the UK any more...
Sorry if I offended you by posting her clip. I've always thought Tracey Ullman was talented and funny. I had no idea Brits felt that way about her.

The only Brit on TV that I felt was vile, unfunny and repulsive was James Cordon. The way he treated people off set was revolting. Glad his show is no longer on the air.

Again, apologies.

No need for apologies, you weren't to know.. but yes you're right about James Corden , again, we're glad he's over in the USA because we cannot stand him here... Funnily enough just this week Sharon Osbourne was saying how much she and Ozzy can't stand him because he's an Ass..licker to anyone he thinks is influential..

If you are going to be the future Queen of Great Britan, you are going to be in the public eye. And the British tabloid press is not known for being subtle or unobtrusive. On a personal level, Kate's medical records should have been sacrosanct, but as Princess, a diagnosis of cancer was not going to be kept secret. I don't understand why the "palace' just didn't announce this sooner. It was obvious most don't have a 4 month recovery period after surgery. It would have avoided the mountain of speculation swirling about her. Cancer can happen to anybody. I had cancer. And making a Photoshopped video, didn't help.

It is my understanding that Princess Catherine only got the news the day that Prince William cancelled his appearance at the memorial for his godfather. Recovering from abdominal surgery takes at least 6 weeks and that is with no complications. Being the most popular woman on the planet it was her wish to address the issue her way, she consulted both the king and her husband. Let us leave them both alone to recover 🙏 and hopefully in the not too distant future they will be seen out and about. Recovering from cancer is a long and difficult road, God bless them both.

My husband had a burst appendix that he didn't go to the doctor about until it had festered and almost killed him. It took two long operations to clean it all up. He was in the hospital for four days.

Let us leave them both alone to recover 🙏 and hopefully in the not too distant future they will be seen out and about.
I don't think anybody on the Senior Forum was planning to pound on her door or pester her with phone calls in the middle of the night.

I don't know that she's the most popular woman on the planet..I think that's a bit of a stretch.....

@hollydolly..popped-up on my phone..
I think it was on "The Street"
I saw it a few places last week, too... one of them was In Touch (celebrity publication and then Yahoo news republished it)... but the only source given was "a high ranking royal insider" so I didn't pay much attention to it. Yet when it's so precise and there would have been a lot of medical people who know things, it makes you wonder... there's usually some truth to things that leak. It's all so very sad. :(

so no news agencies ?.. no real newspapers or media ?

I'm not saying it's not true, because sometimes news about the RF is kept from us and is leaked overseas... but not usually to celebrity magazines first....

Not that I saw, no... that's why I didn't put much thought into it... on the other hand, I *was* surprised to see Yahoo using it... they're not a newspaper per se, but not a gossip rag either... so... either it will be announced or it will be a matter of "we'll see" I guess.
