Nursing homes for actors

ACTRA union members are not JUST actors, they are also all of the behind the camera techs, crafts people, costumers, editors and a dozen other trades groups. My Wife's younger son Mike is a ACTRA union member. He designs and creates puppets, and sets, and hand builds props. He has a Master's in Fine Arts from Cambridge University in the UK. JimB.
My husband and I both worked behind the camera.. in TV and film Production..he still does.....you can't tell me anything I don't already know

My younger brother has been a props man in Vancouver, for some decades now. I think he's going to retire in a few years. He has a lot of interesting stories and photos of actors he has worked with.

I have kept so many scripts from shows we've both worked on. Obviously I couldn't keep everything otherwise we'd have had no room for furniture in the house, but scripts that were of a major storyline etc.. and the o/h would despair at me as I rescued a script where he'd created a brilliant episode, along with his crew.. and or scripts we won awards for..

Loads of photos with actors.. and even when there was a summer party for the cast and crew, we were invited to bring along family members, and the cast happily posed for photos with them...

It's a very interesting industry. I have a lot of memorabilia from some old t.v. shows my brother worked in. Every now and then, I take a look at them. I can only imagine how much you would have stashed away!

My husband has worked in the industry for 50 years...so you can imagine all the scripts from various shows, & films.. and all the memorabilia, photos.. ID lanyards..laminates ... from every show worked on , caps, jackets... all with the shows' name on them and so on...
