Our community garage sale weekend is May 11 & 12

Mother's Day weekend! I know from experience, holiday weekends are not good for garage sales. I PMed the mayor and asked it be changed to the next weekend, but she said the town-wide clean-up day is then and people want the garage sale weekend BEFORE that. Hmmmm...if they don't sell something and are going to trash it, maybe it's something that shouldn't be offered for sale.

I watch a dumpster diving channel. They have area wide garage sales in their area. At the end of the day, some put things curb side and they have made some good scores.

I agree, it's not the best weekend, but people will still be out.

I found these vases in a box marked FREE in front of someones house years ago after the town-wide sale. No one else recognized them as being GOOFUS glass. Google it if interested. This is what I got:

What is a "reasonable" price at a garage sale depends on what side of the transaction you're on. To me, my prices seem like I am giving away things, but if I saw my prices on items at someone else's sale, I'd think they were insane.

It's a great colour - would look wonderful filled with strawberry plants. I'd snap it up if I saw it in a charity shop I used to have a smaller version but it was terracotta and came from a local pottery. The one in the video looks a good size.
