Convenience store keeps taking down my posters

I've been placing posters for the community-wide garage sale weekend on the bulletin board, but they are always gone when I check on them. I finally asked the store manager and she said, "No sales allowed." I said it wasn't a private sale, it was a community event. Answer - "No selling." I've never heard of a public bulletin board that didn't permit sales to be posted. After all, almost everyone has something to sell. I emailed corporate headquarters. Here is their reply:

The reply is pretty self explanatory.
Seems reasonable of the company to me. it is their bulletin board ,they can make the rules as to what is allowed.
Absolutely. The rules are quite clear and reasonable. It’s their bulletin board. When Deb gets her own bulletin board she can advertise however and whenever she chooses.

Strange community that has a community wide garage sale yet it has to be advertised?

Is that convenience store a high-traffic community magnet, crucial to getting word out?
It is high traffic, but I can't say who may actually look at the bulletin board. When I am in the store, I never look - only when I'm placing a poster.
