Do you eat raw Oysters?

I used to, but I don't allow myself to get that drunk anymore...

When I was a kidling, and oysters were cheaper, dad
would buy a bunch, we had them maily fried or in
a stew.....have not them in 60 yrs probably......

My maternal grandmother loved fried oysters. Mom liked a good oyster stew. I am not a big fan of seafood.

My husband loves them. He eats them in his garage though. He likes clams . He’ll go clam digging and cook them. He loves shrimp but I don’t like any seafood. I only eat salmon, cod and haddock and halibut

I love raw oysters and used to indulge in them as often as I could. Unfortunately, with my liver being in the condition it is, a bad raw oyster could do me in.

I do eat them roasted, fried and in stews, though. I'd crawl on my knees over broken glass to get to an oyster roast on the beach.

I always have oyster stew on New Year's Eve; it was a family tradition.

My mouth is watering....

I like them on the half shell, very cold with cocktail sauce and lemon. Can't stomach them cooked though.

Have had them smoked...enjoyed them that way, If I am going to have a raw shellfish, prefer clams

Both my Soon2bex, and my daughter love Oysters.....I don't..*ugh*... so a few years ago we went to this restaurant.. which is a stunningly beautiful place.. Beaconsfield | Dining & Drinking | Crazy Bear Group they could have their fill of Oysters served on ice... while the rest of us ate something different...

A day later they were both as sick as dogs with food poisoning... they've never had Oysters since...

Don't eat them raw on the half shell but I like Oyster Rockefeller as an appitizer if they're on the menu when dinig out.

I've eaten them raw and cooked as oyster's rockefellar. I no longer eat them at all due to my bad kidneys.
No shellfish allowed.

I don’t like raw oysters, but I do like them pan fried and served on a bed of lettuce with lemon and tartar sauce. I also like oyster stew, but i like clam chowder better.
When I was a kid (and even when my kids were growing up) , crabs were fairly cheap sometimes, and we always enjoyed getting the whole cooked crabs from the grocery store and picking them apart and eating them fresh.
If I had lived closer to an ocean where there was actual fresh seafood, I would have liked that even better !
