The female fascination with shoes has alway puzzled me. However, it seems harmless and a fine way to spend some time. FWIW, I have a nice collection myself, only because my size is rather odd, so when I see a pair of shoes in my size that I might need in the future, I buy them.To be honest, I did think of you but, I haven't got over the fact that you have more footwear than me
Maybe it has to do with how sensible mothers were when we were growing up. We tended to have a pair of school shoes and a pair of weekend shoes and, one harsh winter, we also had a pair of boots. When I went to work, the very first thing I bought when I got paid was a pair of kitten heeled shoes. Or maybe it is just that women have a bigger choice of clothes to choose from than men so, we want different shoes and bags to go with our outfits.

That is absolutely true.... but sometimes I buy new boots or shoes..like I did last week...because at my age I forget that I have so many...One of my friends says that she likes shoes but hates having to buy new ones because she can never find her size.
The thing with having a lot of shoes is that they last for years because you don't wear them that often so they seldom wear out so, the collection grows.
If my friends outlive me, and they ever toast my memory, I wonder if they will say "Cheers! She always wore really nice shoes".

I have a pair of slippers (in the South aka "house shoes") that I wear indoors. They're from Bob's. I have an old pair of Totes that I wear when I go out to sit on the patio or to take the trash to the curb.

I just bought some of that litter and hate it, too! I reordered some Fresh Step. Guess it wasn't such a bargain after all...haha. I could always use it to patch a couple spots on the concrete driveway. Don't think I'll pee on it though. That might upset my neighbors.
