What was your daydream of being famous?

I always had a desire to be famous. I was going to be a huge folk singer, like 'Peter, Paul & Mary'. When I was 13, I bought a guitar and practiced chords. The only thing I was missing was talent. When I was 8, I was singing my heart out during 1st Communion class. The priest told me to "just pray". We all want, at some time, to be famous. What was your day dream of being famous?

I wasn't looking for fame, really, but I hoped to become a recognizable artist, getting invitations to hang a painting or 2, or 3, in recognizable galleries, being commissioned to do paintings for famous home designers and people with notoriety.

The reality?... I gave a painting or 2 to each of my kids and sold the rest at a yard sale before I moved down here (from a small town up north). Might have made more if I'd brought 'em down here and then sold them, but there was over a dozen of them, and some of them were pretty big; up to 24" X 36".

Eh. Maybe in another life.

When I was a kid I always daydreamed about being the superstar player on the Phoenix Suns and leading them to an NBA championship. Of course that never happened and I'm having my doubts that the Suns will ever become NBA champs in my lifetime. Oh well, it was always fun daydreaming about it.

I would have liked to have become famous for singing rock and roll. Especially protest songs. Grace Slick was my idol. I did manage to sing in rock bands and I am grateful we didn't become famous/successful because I wouldn't have liked touring one bit. I didn't know that about myself back then.

It wasn't fame I was after. I "just" wanted to be the prima ballerina with the New York Ballet Theatre. Or, barring that, I'd have settled for being in the Rockettes chorus line.
You and me, GG. I saw The Firebird and particularly wanted to dance the lead in that. It could have been any dance company at all, the West Virginia Hillbilly Ballet Theatre and Bluegrass Banjo Company would have been fine.

If you're Rich, you can Meet whomever you want. I wanted to meet Famous, but did not want to be myself. I'm a very incognito type. As a kid I day dreamed about being invisible, the opposite of famous.
Me neither. In fact, I’m quite content being a nobody.
