AstraZeneca pulls covid vaccine from global market

Quite.

But point really being they are not a medical doctor - so have no expertise in area of vaccines or immunology.
No medical degree or qualifications in any medical field at all.

Correct. The SF member "Nan " is his Mother, so I expect she will defend his "qualifications " . JimB.

Of course I defend my Son, wouldn't you? he has earned his Certificates and Diploma

Oh I'm sure he has certificates and experience in his field

But fact remains he does not have a medical degree or any qualifications in immunology or any medical field or in making medical diagnosis.

Why not move on. I think most of us understand the young man's qualifications and wish him well. I also offer my sympathy regarding the young lady's health problems.

Thank you Dave A, for your concern, just what I was going to do.

I see lots of people who are not affected by the vaccine at all.

Nobody claims the vaccine (or any vaccine) has 100% efficiency - but, like all vaccine preventable diseases, if one gets it after being vaccinated it is almost always far less severe.
Not sure what there is to feel sorry for people in that.

Pfizer are a large company - they make several vaccines and many different medications - most of which have no connection to each other.
Did they get the placebo?? Mostly everyone I know who got the c-vaccine got covid - or was it the common cold? I'm still in a state of confusion.

I dont understand your question.

Of course some people in clinical trials got placebo - that is the case in all clinical trials.

But, no, of course people getting the vaccine outside of that got the vaccine, not placebo.

People here who got Covid know it was Covid , not the common cold because they have done a RATS test or a PCR.

and sure, people who got the vaccine can still get Covid - as already stated, nobody claimed the Covid vaccine (or any vaccine) has 100% efficiency - but severity is nearly always FAR less.
Obviously people getting mild cases is much better than people getting severe cases.

I had two AstraZeneca shots, one Pfizer, and one Moderna and I still came down with Covid. However, it was very mild and only lasted three or four days.

Well, none of the vaccines stopped you contracting the virus, the entire point was to minimize symptoms - so it seems like you were okay.

As far as I know, I haven't had Covid. If I have, I didn't discern it. But then again, I followed the strict guidelines at all times - plenty of hand sanitizer, masks, etc.

I have no doubt that the vaccines minimized my symptoms and may very well have saved my life.

Which actually, is the root of the anti-vaccine question. We might never know if it saved you or not - but who the heck wants to test the theory?!?!
