I was drinking hot cocoa until a few days ago. Unheard of for May. Today was almost 90. Officially it was 88 degrees F. Way too hot way too fast. But it would have been an awesome beach day for anyone free to go.

My husband drinks hot chocolate every night before going to bed. If I did that, I’d be up 1/2 the night. I prefer cocoa ( sweetened how I’d like it ) but not right before bedtime.

gettin a bit wintery up hear in the top end west kimberley Oz - 14C early morn - that's nippin a bit but rising to 30 by noon and the aircons will run a while. but whether ya west side or east side - it's all peace and quiet- I was born and first raised in a city - worked in London for a while - that's it done with city life ya can have it if ya want

I think most of us can safely say that most locations have gone right from Winter to Summer. Spring seems to be a thing of the past.

We had a few days of 60's and 70's in April, but we are in the 80's right now with a huge cloud of humidity hanging over us that is just downright oppressive. We've had severe storms almost every day.

Does this help?

I'd love to take Suzydog to the beach but this beach has been dangerous with riptides unfortunately. I guess a person can't always worry about safety though; after awhile it makes one paranoid.

Oh, it's going to be a HOT one today! I had to go out this morning and wash the car at about 7:00. Last night, just at dusk, I drove over the bridge on the freeway over the lake near my house and ran into a absolute CLOUD of lovebugs at 80 mph. The windshield was covered and then I made the mistake of turning on the wipers......Cream of Lovebug Sauce.

I had heard that the lovebugs aren't bad this year. I guess they're all hanging out at Lake Jessup. Or on my car...

So, I'm out there this morning, and it's already 🔥, chipping lovebugs off the car. They're like cement when they dry and if you leave them on long enough, they can damage your paint.

@jujube We have been lucky by using dryer sheets in order to get rid of them on our car. I hate them! As well as the blind mosquitoes!

It is very pretty today and warm. My favorite time of the year.

Grr. Now the derned cottonwoods are spewing their fluff. It sure likes to blow in, every time you open a door. Before long the breezes will create tumbling "rolls of carpet" along the lawn to catch in shrubbery and patio furniture and every corner.
