It is sunny and warm today, high of 76 degrees. I played 9 holes of golf this morning and had 6 pars. Not bad for the last day of the year. It is supposed to be a high of 59 Saturday so winter is back for a few days. I will probably have to wear a jacket playing golf but I will still be wearing shorts.

According to the forecast thus....

Britain will be hit by heavy snow this weekend as temperatures plunge to -10C (14F) after the Met Office activated a three-day warning for most of the country.

Forecasters expect up to 1ft of snow could fall between 12pm on Saturday and 9am on Monday, with much of England and almost all of Wales within the warning zone.

Part of southern Scotland and the whole of Greater London is also covered by the yellow alert, which meteorologists issued shortly after 11am this morning.

The Met Office said there was a chance of power cuts and mobile phone coverage being lost in areas, while some rural communities could become cut off.

Travel delays on roads are also anticipated with 'some stranded vehicles and passengers' possible, along with 'delayed or cancelled rail and air travel'.

It comes as a stormy start to 2025 for Britain saw dozens of flights cancelled, a 'do not travel' rail warning imposed and London 's New Year's Day Parade delayed.

It's warm and rainy right now. If it were cold we'd be buried in snow. I had to get some of my tee shirts out again because I had packed them up for winter. It's that warm. It's so much more comfortable to sleep in a tee shirt.

Currently it is overcast and 44F. The projected high is 69F. Currently the air quality is unhealthy so another no burn day for the region.
