When men were "men"???? Masculine dominance????

Dear Pepper....it's a researched and accepted fact that women do have lesbian attractions to other women on a subconscious level. Suggest you read Jung and one of your people's favorites, Sigmund "THE GOD" Freud to confirm what I am saying. Please think before you speak. It serves to make a better and more educational forum. Thanks

One of my people? To what/whom are you inferring?

Dear Pepper....please do yourself a favor. If you cannot tolerate what others are saying in an open forum without making some stupid and utterly defenseless remark, perhaps you should re-think why you are here.

If you listen to podcasts, Jerry is on the May 5th episode of Club Random with Bill Maher. It gives you a better picture of him. He loves his family and wife.

Like most comedians, Jerry acknowledges being picked on in school. So no surprise there. He wasn't a big strong guy - I think back when I was in school - those were the types the bullies loved to push around. So sure, he would look up to men who were strong but not bullies.

I doubt JS knew Sean Connery's history with women - he was likely picturing him in 007 type roles: the hero who saves the day. JFK showed courage and strength but also had a smarmy side. Muhammed Ali? Now there was a man who stood up for what he believed, but he also had feet of clay (including affairs, extramarital children and 4 marriages) Howard Cosell? I think he was joking on that one.

As far as his humor goes, I've found many of his observations to be on target and very amusing. His unscripted "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" displays his very quick-wit and the depth of his many friendships.

No we are just trying to clarify why Seinfeld is such an overrated JERK
I think "jerk" is the character he plays. Larry David {Curb Your Enthusiasm} is similar but better at it and has more sympathetic characters to balance things out. Just my opinion.

Seems to me it was an attempt at humour. But I don't watch Seinfield or know anything about him.

I think it is much better now that everyone isn't locked into gender defined roles and people can do whatever career, lifestyle choices etc suit them.
I don't think there is any one 'real man' or 'real woman' - there are traits I admire in anyone - work ethic, kindness, empathy etc. Doesn't matter if it is a man or a woman.
Good post.

..but then Seinfeld has researchers who should have passed that info on....how could he not know something that Connery said on several chat shows including to to Barbara Walters.. and is also included in the book of his ex wife ?
I believe this was an off the cuff remark by Seinfeld during an interview but he might know it by now. It would surprise me to learn he has "researchers" per se.

He could certainly claim ignorance about Connery's history with women, it's not a well-known fact in the US.

As for the rest of it, he could shrug that off as talking off the top of his head about his childhood fantasies of "real men." I've never read or heard anything that suggests he's a misogynist.

This Sienfeld guy sounds like a Peach. If he has no researchers then he'll be the only TV host who has none.. I think that's highly unlikely

I'm surprised it's not a well known fact in the USA given Connery told it to the USA queen of Interviewers...Barbara Walters
