Did you hear about the Michigan doctor who mistreated his cancer patients just for financial gain, insurance fraud...using them as his 'cash cows'? Disgusting, he had people undergo chemo and radiation when they didn't even have cancer, those who did have some cancer he overtreated. Some were given painful bone marrow procedures for no reason at all. This doctor is a monster, I'd be furious if myself or someone in my family was his patient.

You have to sue someone like that.

Not only can the victims sue in a civil suit and, hopefully, get monetary damages, but the state of Michigan can also punish him criminally to the fullest extent of the law. This guy needs to suffer BIG TIME.

Let's put him on long-term chemo and radiation.

Yes!!!! He got 45 years -- wonder how soon he'll be eligible to get out? What he did was unspeakable -- I think he really deserves life without the possibility, in one of those super max places. He systematically tortured (ever see radiation burns? watched a person struggle with aggressive chemotherapy?) all those people for MONEY! He should never be out in society again. Ever.

Just think of the doctors out there doing similar things and maybe worse. There is no winner here, only losers.

This is a prime example of why it is so important to get a 2nd opinion from another totally unrelated doctor if given a diagnosis of a serious illness. 99% of the doctors are probably honest, but they do make mistakes...and if a person is unlucky enough to get involved with that 1% who are just in it for their own personal gain, the doctor can be dangerous.

There is No punishment severe enough for this crooked doctor.

Exactly! Think about all the misdiagnosises or incorrect/incompetent treatment choices. Or incorrectly delivered treatment.

As pointed out get a second opinion when ever possible as a second opinion for treatment.
