Returning from my trip to Fremantle I drove the coastal road.

Stopping at Cottesloe I spotted a bird of prey hovering above the dunes.
Managed to take a photograph which is not an easy thing to do from a distance.
The closest I can come to is a Nankeen Kestrel.

used to pop into cottersloe quite frequently ; in the days before Laurie Connell went to prison ; would say hello to him at one of the coffee shops on the sea front promenade. always a peaceful place even when busy
