How many sugars do you take?

In tea or coffee?
I was reading a novel and a person in the story took 5 sugars. I even once knew someone who took 6. One friend of mine always has 3. Sounds like pure madness to me.

I used to take 2 sugars until my forties, then I cut down to one. Eventually I decided to take the big step of no sugar and was amazed how quickly I got used to it. So I can have guilt-free decaff teas, especially as gave up caffeine too.
I remember I was always hungry years ago, the sugar must have been whipping up my appetite and I used to snack a lot as a result. Now I rarely feel hungry between meals.

Ah now I found sweeteners seemed to give me headaches. I worried about chemicals in them and I did feel way better without that synthetic taste.
I don't get any adverse effects from them... but I do always think I should try and cut them out..but my tea taste horrible without sweeteners.. :D

I don't use any for either. When I first started drinking coffee I would use a little sugar, and one time I was out,d had a cup and discovered I didn't use enough for me to notice a difference.

I do remember the last time I did use sugar though, was about 11:30 pm with a few more hours ahead of me, and the only coffee available was one of those huge urns that would have been made about 5:30 am ... and had been on all day. It was quite thick too, that needed a bit of sugar.

It's funny because my granny only ever had a half spoon of sugar in her tea, but if it wasn't in there she would notice immediately...

My father took 3 spoons of sugar in his tea... but he never ate sugar any other time..no sweets no puddings no cakes...

I don't take any sugar or sweeteners in either. Coffee and tea are probably the only two calorie-free indulgences I enjoy, although I should probably cut back on the caffeine.

Nothing added to my coffee or tea. If I made an iced tea, it would have lemon added, no sweeteners.

I like natural Honey in a squeeze bottle for my sweeteners with tea or maybe Coffee. I love my sweet Tea.
Cream is my daily go to for Coffee.

It was always black, sugarless coffee for me for many years. Then I developed a bleeding ulcer. Now I'm experimenting with cream and sugar. So far nothing seems quite right. And the coffee isn't quite hot enough with milk or cream.

I don't have sugar in coffee. Only occasionally at a restaurant if it is too strong. But normally I order half strength cappacino and it is alright.

I very occasionally drink flavoured teas, black with little bit of honey.
