Do you use a Password Manager?

I've used a password manager for years. All my passwords are different and look like 'Z$vN&&#Z5$vziD'. I used to use LastPass, but for the past few years I've been using Bitwarden. It works on all my browsers and my Android phone. As we know, the stereotype is "old people don't do tech", so I wondered if others here of our vintage use a password tool.

Yes. It's called a piece of paper and a pen.
All not so neatly stapled together. Works for me.
Seriously, I use this as well because I'm concerned about storing my passwords online. Even AT&T had a data breach recently that included private information like Social Security numbers. That included my information.

Some of my passwords are stored in Google, but I'm getting more concerned these days.

A nice thing about using something like Bitwarden is you rarely have to look up the id/pw, no copy/paste. When I click on a sites login page, Bitwarden pops up offering to add the ID/PW info with a click, on some sites it even pre-populates the ID/PW boxes so you just have to click 'login'.

As a Mac user, I've used 1Password for a long time. I'm anxious to see how the new password app is in the recently announced MacOS Sequoia. I'm hoping it will be good enough to drop the 1Password subscription.

I've been using Last Pass for many years now, Never any problems. It's free as long as you're only using it on one device. They had some hacks in the past, but never any major password breaches. They're all open to be hacked at some point. I figure with problems come experience and solutions which only makes you stronger.

I use the encrypted 'Free' Firefox password manager & have for years, Never had an issue, every time I've checked it comes up clean. I export them, store them on an encrypted flash drive periodically. I feel just as secure as with all the other opinionated hype that the other password managers claim. Several of them have been compromised. I do apply the Firefox/other updates when available to stay current with my chosen OS or browser. I always use the private browsing mode setting (Incognito)..

I moved from Last Pass to 1Password a while back. Was happy with LP for years, but recently it stopped signing me out automatically after 15 minutes in accordance with my setting (despite numerous computer and program reboots), so moved on. Happy with 1P so far. It's not free, but I don't mind paying for goods and services I find valuable.

I use Firefox password manager for newspaper subscriptions, this forum and non-financial, non-business needs. Not for email, anything hooked to a credit card, or anything else where I might have financial or other sensitive exposure.

I don't even fully trust 1P, to be honest. The PWs are there, but aren't fully complete.

My daughter has my 1P password and all other pertinent info for accessing our financials. DH doesn't have the PWs because he doesn't want them. 🤣

I use a password manager to store passwords. It stores them on my phone not in the cloud. I don't let the app generate my passwords because they are character strings that I could never recall. The app is however password protected, and I make a point of changing that password regularly, even to the point of using a reminder to train me to do it. That same reminder urges me to wind the grandfather clock each Sunday morning. I'm old, what more need I say?
