Pick your fave of my photos…

You seem to like "still life " shots. Perhaps try some ones with action and movement in them. I presume you are shooting through a digital camera, not a 35 mm film camera ? The beauty of a digital camera is you can shoot dozens of frames without worrying about the cost of developing film, and simply delete those you don't like.

In a past life I was a Private Investigator for more than 20 years here in Ontario, and using my Canon AE 1 I shot hundreds of rolls of Kodak color 35 mm film of all types of subjects. Obviously I couldn't use a flash when I was doing surveillance jobs, so I had to learn how to push using high speed film, and fast shutter openings. Shooting free hand with high speed film requires using a mono pod to steady the camera or you get a lot of fuzzy results. Being able to lean against something, or lean on a car or an object helps.

These are all taken on IPhones @jimintoronto (different ones over the years). Don’t have anything else ☺️

I did take a cue from a book my son got me on using an iPhone and took a pic that made the waterfall look less static:

The big advantage of the digital single lens camera is that you can buy lenses that give you a huge range of options for both focus and shutter speeds. The I Phone is OK but it does have it's limitations in terms of versatility. Look around on the used camera market online. Jimb.
