I'm considering to relocated to Charlotte area, but try to stay away from busy metropolitan. Anyone has the suggestion for it?

My first thought with affordability in mind was around the northern part just outside of Charlotte like the Lake Norman area...Davidson (charming college town with good restaurants etc), Cornelius (scenic views lakeside town, golf, and marinas), and Huntersville (family friendly). Chosen picks due to the variety of neighborhoods, amenities, and quality of life.

South of the city is pricey. Noda is north-ish but too close to the city imo. It's probably gotten expensive since I visited. Well everything has.
If you're not concerned about price then Dilworth is historic with tree-lined streets and a sense of community. It's important to visit the areas in person first as I'm sure you know.
