When I woke up at 6am temp was already 73, but there is a breeze which will help

We had a heatwave for a week and today it’s only 67. Perfect weather now for me but it will climb back up in a few days.

At night, I open the doors and windows and put fans to try to get some cooler air inside. Then in the morning, I close everything and cover the windows, but it is futile by noon. Right now the temp in the house is 84F, but outside the Heat Index (temp factored in with humidity) is 102F.

Today is 27 degrees. We walked along a nature trail that used to be part of a train tracks route. There was a lovely coolish breeze coming from the ocean. It’s sunny with a bit of haze.

I couldn't get the house temp below 83F last night, so starting out with that. At least it can't get any warmer than what it is outside (which is hot enough right now). Watered my apple seedlings. I don't feel as bad for myself when it's hot as I do for my desktop computer. When the temp in the room gets over 75F, the fan starts making revving noises.

Today (Wednesday) and tomorrow for the heat wave, then it's supposed to cool off a bit. 85F will seem cool after 4 days of heat indices in the 100sF. It's going to be rough delivering meals tomorrow.

I just opened the back door to the deck. It was like opening an oven door when baking.

We have an old AC running in the kitchen, ceiling fan in this room & fan in the living room.

Later I start our bedroom AC.

We lived in Niagara Falls when the O/H was working in St. Catherines, way back when. The heat & humidity was hard to take .. also, the heavy snowfalls in winter.
