Is no-one to be trusted any more ?

Is it even possible the crutch lady knows the daughter's mother and had permission or implied permission?
Was that the mother's house or the daughter's house?
OR
Is the crutch lady the daughter's mother and we're being played?

1. Observing her behavior, not likely.
2. The mother's house (probably, because the rose bush was the mother's property).
3. Anything is possible.

I doubt it.. the daughter said she didn't know this woman from Adam.. ... I doubt we're benig played.. the 'daughter ' looked absolutely steaming mad at the end..

This one is just amazing. The woman's determination to get those cuttings from the rose bush, rolling and crawling on the ground, no less! And then if she isn't over the top enough, there's the victim's daughter who is as outraged as you might expect over a car thief. She says, the woman stole those cuttings, "On my mother's birthday!" and she's going to keep the woman's crutch and her keys. More than one person in this video has issues.
you should write that in the comments on the video...

The Main guy hands a 20 volt angle grinder to his cronies to grind the locks off of heavy log chains on your bike.
The Racket business of resell at the Pawn Shops comes to mind but no. Engravement under the Frame is also ground off and repainted.
Most all of it is transported out of state to another area that needs bikes too. Well sure, that's a great plan isn't it.
But the Bikes are loaded on Boats and taken to other Country Cities for distribution to those who need them too.
See Watson because you aren't in the resell loop. Maybe there is another Resell shop listed with those bike sales.

Why would they? She's a zero-hour contractor, and wasn't on the job when she stole it (unless I got that wrong). Even if she were, I'm not sure it's down to Deliveroo.

Good for them, but maybe - should you 30K for a bike, you don't leave it outside where it can be taken?
I am an attorney here in the U.S., but I know very little about a zero hour contractor. We have zero hour contractors here in the U.S., but I have never worked a case that included this type of worker. I was initially a U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio before I went to work for a very large law firm working on violent crimes. We have offices in 8 states and 6 countries.

It's hard enough sometimes trying to work cases between states let alone working a case out of the country, which I don't do. A lot of laws are very close and similar in statutes, but interpretations of the laws is where the difference lies.

Just an example of a simple fact about light bikes and Theft. I don't think it takes a dummy to get it.

United States:
An average of 175,200 bikes are reported stolen in the US every year, equivalent to one bike every 3 minutes.
Research suggests that the actual number of stolen bikes (including unreported cases) could be closer to 2 million.
Cities with high bike crime include New York and San Francisco.

Mexico’s ‘ConstruBikes’:
In 2020, a prolific seller of stolen bikes known as ‘ConstruBikes’ operated on Facebook and Instagram from Jalisco, Mexico.
They fenced bikes primarily sourced from the San Francisco Bay area.
So organize crime rings again are a simple no brainer, not some kind of high intelligences are needed! Your bike went there.

n some areas still bikes which aren't even locked up are safe..like this bike I took a picture of today here where I live, in my Doctors surgery (office) grounds which is a large park with a river running through it, and open to everyone to stroll through ...

Well now you can understand why long ago this peon tuned in and dropped out as I hopelessly watch our world accelerate towards an inevitable dystopian future.

  • overpopulation
  • open borders immigration
  • significant wealthy to poor gap
  • large numbers of unskilled uneducated persons lacking employable skills
  • cities with unaffordable residences with desperate homeless populations
  • telecom science era with criminals using technology

  • under staffed under funded police
  • jails/prisons already full of criminals
  • societal resistance to lock more people up
  • laws preventing public naming of youth criminals
  • appointed judges with social agendas

  • lack of ethical and moral teaching in public schools
  • many important public figures that are unethical immoral
  • society of takers focused on wealth and money
  • extremist politicians in grid locked political parties
  • ... .... ... ...

Good Lord, ever single one of those is happening here in the Uk as well as the US and doubtless other major countries... but why, what's the reason? Am I the only one that doesn't know why this being allowed to happen ?

I know why. It's political, so can't say. I KNOW WHY. The Forces are gathering together, the owners of the Universe, openly and blatantly for the first time. Never hidden, always seen, but now declaring themselves in the sunshine. I can say no more.

Humans mainly live a fear based existence. The primary fear in this case is greed. Fear of missing out. Think about it.
Police don't want to lose their jobs by not following foolproof methodologies.
Lawyers are in the same boat, but don't want their insurers seeing them as a risk. Same for anybody else who needs insurance for employment.
Insurers jack up premium costs because greedy people are sueing for all sorts of things.
It goes on and on. And now a lot of people actually believe they are entitled to be greedy.

This won't easily go away. Unfortunately, it would take a miracle or mass devestation, like world war, before the world population changes from what is easy to what is right for everybody. It's a meme world, not a wewe one. It is an ISM (I, Self, Me) world we have to deal with. IMHO.

The elite and their march toward the New World Order and communism.

:) David777, your post was cut off after 'extremist politicians in grid locked political parties'. Would you please repost? Thanks!

Long time ago a famous debunker wrote a book that listed frauds, fakes, and hoaxes. It was in alphabetical order. I got half way through the book, to the alphabet P, when I decided to stop right there and threw the book into the garbage bin. I stopped because "what else in the book may be true but betrayed as false. The debunker said that the Platypus was an Australian hoax. Well, I can tell you the Platypus is real and we, in the Northern Rivers of Australia, have plenty of them. It only took one false claim for me to not trust this debunker.

It would be funny if the book was not really written by the debunker. If so, then the book itself would be a fraud, fake and a hoax in itself.

The sad thing about all this trusting bit is that it can only take one lie to not be trusted; and can at times take a lifetime to regain that trust, if at all. I saw a lot of this in family breakups due to broken promises of giving up drug addictions, alcoholism, and gambling. The best a recovery person can do is stay true, and let time be the healer.

I think even children know the Platypus is real..we certainly did and we've never seen one in real life. I do think it's all down to choosing the right author..people can write any old garbage as truth.. the scarier part is that many believe it...

Nice bike! Hmmm.

When I was in the RAAF all things in the workshops that looked attractive or expensive, regardless of what it was, had to be locked away whenever it is no longer in use. All personnel living on the base were also advised to do the same about their own gear.

people have been thieves since the beginning of time, there's no question about that..and here n the Uk we've seen thefts and other major crimes rise exponentially in recent years due to the high immigration problem.. I'm not apologising for that because it's fact.. but that's not to say that there wasn't crime before that.. there was.. and even I who live in a relatively crime free area have been a victim of crime... so given the opportunity certain people will steal even if they don't need to...

More news today as examples of how some criminals are using cordless tools and hi tech. Of course, California given open borders and a lack of inspections on most shipping containers in both directions for the sake of keeping business costs low, has been overrun by alien foreigners. And then there are the out of control catalytic converter theft rings and automobile thefts that ship containers packed with stolen cars to Asia since US corporations would rather not add that cost as long as the public doesn't care.

Of course after 911 there was plenty of initial discussion about just that but global corporations quickly stifled media talking about that. Just as leisure, travel, tourist industries clamped down on discussions to make tourist visa entries more difficult. And for different reasons Wall Street corporations have made sure E-Verify for employment never happens. Like I said above sadly, I've Tuned In and Dropped Out.

The only reason I suspect we haven't yet read about some smuggled nuclear weapon going off in New York or Washington is because our enemies don't want to rile up a hornet's nest like occurred after 911. So are waiting for the day the USA is less able to react.

Have You Had Your Electric Bike Stolen? It Might Be in Mexico and Being Sold on Facebook

snippets:

A recent WIRED investigation uncovered a high-end crime ring that appeared to be shipping stolen Bay Area electric bikes to Mexico. New reporting shows that the local epicenter of this ring may be a transmission shop in San Jose.

Back in 2021, we reported on a surprisingly sophisticated electric bike theft operation that was causing a huge spike in the theft of these high-end bicycles. The perps had graduated into using portable angle grinders, cordless screwdrivers, and were even tracking bike riders on the app Strava to get a sense of their bike usage and whereabouts.

The San Jose man who was arrested is Victoriano Romero, who is out on bail and awaiting trial. His federal indictment says Romero “had the stolen bicycles disassembled and packaged up for delivery at his automotive shop in San Jose,” Romero is the owner of a San Jose transition shop called Tepeke Transmission.

Hance says he noticed Facebook posts in which the bikes were clearly photographed inside Tepeke Transmission. “Same wall, same door, same color,” he told Bay Area News Group, noting that transmission parts were plainly visible in the background of the photos.

If you look at say, Deliveroo drivers, they're all self-employed. They essentially have no contract with the business and are working in a piecemeal fashion. A driver isn't really fired, they're simply not offered any additional deliveries. It's a terrible way for a business to run, imo.

In the states, if you are being paid by a company for your services, you are considered as an agent for that company. Receiving and cashing a check is the same as being an agent for that company.
