Lyme disease, if not caught early, can be a debilitating illness. There was 63,000 cases in the US in 2022! In the UK that would be between 1000 and 2000 cases. Yikes!

I caught Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever from a tick bite, and I was very ill. Those little critters can be dangerous!

There's supposed to be a vaccine being developed that would protect against tick bites, or maybe just Lyme disease in particular. I'll Google it after I get my 2nd cup...

I had anaplasmosis last year in May from being bitten by a tick. No bulls eye rash with it. Was sicker than a puppy with it. Then, Lyme disease in June and July. I sure got tired of eating doxycycline!

Now, I use Ranger Ready, that I purchased through Amazon, before heading outdoors. One for clothing, the other for skin. I like that it also repels biting flies.
