Things to Do to Feel Good.

Just for fun, I thought I would ask "What do you do to make yourself feel good"?

When my dog died I bought Molly. Molly is a small stuffed dog that makes sounds such as a whimper and a happy bark. Amazingly she moves like a living dog when I pet her. She has such a trusting look in her eyes, I am compelled to pet her and she comforts me when I am down and shares my joy when I am happy.

I go to my nearest Dairy Queen and have a hot fudge sundae. Always feel better afterwards. 🍨
For sure, only my go-to is McDonald's for ice cream in a cone. I do that to reward myself when a day has been challenging, or when I need to brace myself for a challenge, or when I am sad and need a pick-me-up.

Back in the day, I lite a cigarette.

Making useful things makes me feel good (until it gives me a backache later). Mostly I customize a piece of furniture or make things with wood

Sometimes I sew. I just finished this skirt for my granddaughter that I made from a blouse that Michelle doesn't like, and this summer dress for her from a bed sheet my daughter-in-law gave me. It's got peacocks printed on it, and my g-daughter loves peacocks.

I'm gonna make a new drawstring for the dress. I just threaded yarn through it for now.

Wow! Very nice,

Have a look at the video I've just posted in the health section just now. Popcorn is on the list of 5 items that causes memory loss...
Well, I looked at the list and thankfully I don't consume any of those things. We really started cutting down on popcorn but we never eat microwaved anything. We have an air popper and use freshly made ghee and sea salt on the popcorn. I gave up sodas forty years ago, I really enjoy sparkling or carbonated water with lemon.

I also recently discovered a sweetener called Allulose, which doesn't affect blood sugar at all. As I age, I have cut out a lot of commercially prepared foods so that I know exactly what I am putting into my body. Thanks for the video! I will definitely pass this around.

Yes! Me too — or repairing useful things. I felt a satisfaction yesterday, tracking down & fixing a portion an electrical circuit in the shop that was shutting itself off. Also putting a new cord on a well used electric motor.

By the way, I just learned to use a sewing machine about three months ago. I'll do some of my own repairs.

When I was 15, I went to work for my maternal grandfather who owned a tailor shop here in Sacramento. He mostly made men's suits. I mostly cut out patterns and fabrics, set up the threaders and oiled the machines. But he taught me to sew on his 2 smaller sewing machines, and I worked on men's shirts and ladies blouses and dresses.

I love getting money. I like to bring up my bank balance and there's a sum under "Deposits". Somehow, it doesn't matter even if it is gone in a few seconds. Seeing something under deposits makes me feel better. I own 1 share of stock in the Empire State Building, and I get my "share of the rent" deposited into my checking account. Seeing that 4 cent deposit makes me feel good.

I go out and take photos....... or if I can't do that I play music.....
What wonderful things to do. I wish I had taken advantage of the piano lessons my grandmother was willing to give me. I appreciate her and all she had to offer much more than when I was young. She spent a lot of time playing the piano and I think that was a main source of happiness for her.

Watch our kitty Bambi or paint ( into Ukrainian Petrykivka painting at the moment), or go to the library or a bookstore, being surrounded by books makes me peaceful and happy.
Going to a bookstore can be dangerous! For me, it is like an alcoholic going to a bar. But oh my, I especially love the used bookstores on the coast. They seem so exotic to me, offering tempting books I knew nothing about. Oh dear, just thinking about it makes me feel like I am losing control of myself.

Well, you are getting that deposit from such a special place. I would love to have something so special.
