Guys Only Question: What are you looking for in a Woman?

More than happy with my wife but more than likely I’ll have to decide on how to live without her some day. I’ve always been contentedly monogamous but now sex isn’t even a big motivator. Nice when it happens but not crucial. I imagine when the time comes I’ll just be looking for friends whose company I like of either sex but with female friends there is always the chance that physical intimacy will happen. Not a priority but will cross that bridge when I get there.

Expected this dated thread would be resurrected again. Recently thought about this more, so will add to the terse input below:

Guys Only Question: What are you looking for in a Woman?

From when I was a young boy in kindergarten, I've had a strong heteros attraction to feminine females. Maybe part of that is because I grew up with a wonderful sister 14 months younger I've always loved dearly (now deceased) and been close to so growing up gave me a clearer sense of females. Wherever we lived, she always had female friends that I also occasionally associated with. As a senior, I still have a strong heteros attraction to feminine females though as an adult working decades in corporate environments with many people of both genders, learned to act in socially acceptable reserved ways.

What I am attracted most to in women especially if close, are their beautiful faces especially when they look at me with smiles. I also consider the faces of those women society and media considered rather ordinary to be beautiful in my own eyes. All higher earth creatures have non-verbal emotion communicating faces with eyes that see, noses that smell, ears that hear, and mouths that speak. And it is our eyes that are particularly a window into the depths of our being.

Great sense of humor....strong, independent but needing someone to share conversations, honesty and active......willing to be spontaneous and adventurous for travel, food places, games, etc.

I have a great wife, she works hard, so then I have to work harder too.
Sure, I say, I'm retired so I can prepare myself to the task and accomplish it.
Uh Huh I don't believe in procrastination, it's a matter of planning and fitting it in.

I think Jamie Lee Curtis is very lovely and feminine with her short hair. Of course, I'm not a guy.

People should be free and have a good stylist! Just got my hair cut, and me and new hair stylist liked this look for me. It will grow out, but I wear my hair this way for now. Easy, just wash & wear! Cool for a hot summer!

I grew up in a house of women (5), and have appreciated them ever since. When I was young, my tastes were what you would expect from a young man. But after 21 years of marriage and into 14 years of singledom, what I looked for in a woman had somewhat changed.

What I didn't want was a smoker or boozer, and someone without obvious tattoos or piercings. What I did want is a woman who was smart, had a sense of humor, had a job, and could "read, write, and comprehend". And yes, she had to be pleasing to my eyes - not a "10" - but more of a 6-7. Trust me guys, really beautiful women are difficult and often trouble.

Oh, have to add... I got to meet a number of single women in their 40s-50s. Most all were divorced. A common thread was they were looking for a "nice guy with a job". Sounds simple, but there just weren't that many of us.

Well, I found "Ms. Right", and we have been married for 23 years now.

I don't agree. I've always thought she looked very masculine...

When I have short hair I remember to wear earrings, when longer I forget. Like earrings. Used to wear dangly, but now I prefer studs, although with my shaky hands studs are harder to put in. My hands were shaking the other day and I accidentally gave myself another piercing in my left lobe. Yep, actually did. Now must be careful not to use it but let it close up.

Your "Do not have anymore" and "Will not do anymore" lists have an impact on attractiveness. The first is mostly age, but the second is mostly willful.

I do that too... when I put my hair up in a ponytail or a bun... then I always Wear Hoop Earrings. You do need something to frame the face if hair is short...

Would one of these help, Holly? 😊
