Young seniors, semi-seniors, what is that?

I will point out the many Ontario wineries that are NOT on strike. I don't know where you live but Doug Ford just put out an online map of all the independent wine and spirits dealers in Ontario that ARE OPEN. In my part of Toronto there are wine shops within the Loblaws, Metro and Sobey's stores, as well as some who have their own outlets.

I do live in the wine country belt but that involves driving and yes we do have a couple of grocery stores but their wine selection is limited to the expensive brands. Had a chat with neighbour and he says we can order online from LCBO and it will be delivered for a fee of $11.95 plus tax per order.
I can wait.

A 55 year old Senior, and a 90 year old Senior...that's apples and oranges. There are certainly degrees to being classified as a Senior. I think even the OP would agree with this.

So which Senior Forums Forum should I join. I'm in the middle. Or should I join all? Would that be honest? Is this even making sense?

I, too, am a 91yr. old senior. Most people don't believe it, so that really tells us that some seniors are oldsters while others are "young seniors." Numbers are just that, numbers, so don't despair, Kathy, just keep in mind, your age is simply a number.

If you are senior then you are a senior. No young seniors, no semi-seniors just plain seniors. Or perhaps you enjoy bragging about your youthfulness in a SF social group?
I am old and I have every wrinkle, ache and pain so unless you are reminiscing about the good ole days please refrain from pointing out that you a youthful senior. It makes the rest us feel old.

that seems a rather odd thing to object to. I hope it was tongue in cheek - but didnt come across that way to me.

Seems clear to me people who are 50 years old are usually in a different stage of life than 90 year olds - even though both can join an 0ver 50s forum

why can we not say we are youthful seniors or suchlike to differentiate our stage in life?

I enjoy posting about things that affect me - working, running etc - that 90 years olds probably wont be doing.

Should I not do so because it is bragging of my youthfulness or making others feel old????

I don't understand what difference it makes and whose business it is for anyone to judge what stage of life a person on SF is in.
why can we not say we are youthful seniors or suchlike to differentiate .....sorry some part of this was erased, not on purpose.
To differentiate for what purpose?

No one is stopping you or has been. but you had to mention what 90 year olds can't or I guess are not supposed to do.

No one really knows how youthful you really are. It's all words on a screen. You may be hobbling around as far anyone knows.

Here's the thing, January. Those remarks are like someone said, from Margaritaville, or however that's spelled. You gotta know Mr. Ed. Appalled at his bad manners! ;) He's a pot stirrer but we love him. i Just hit 75. Now I'm a middle aged, kinda frail but not elderly senior. I used to be a young senior. There are stages, but it's all LIFE, L'Chaim.

Olivia you seem upset by my post and I'm really not sure why.

I said probably - usually 90 year olds are not doing running or still working. Not sure why that statement bothered you.

And of course I could be posting about doing Parkrun, when in fact I am hobbling around. I could be a teenager pretending to be 60 years old too.
Like every post we have to take what people say about themselves at face value.
not sure your point in saying that?

No, no, no. You are not too young and a controversy is started on here very easily. Sometimes on purpose, sometimes it becomes a controversy by a comment or two, and sometimes the most innocent of threads turns into a war. Nature of the beast.
You are welcome here and I hope you take it all with a grain of salt. Its not you, it's us. 😁
Thank you.

I have been on groups before where things got pretty toxic, but it seems like it is more friendly teasing here.

It is comical to seriously discuss matters as this especially because who give a dam. the post is a farce.
by the way vote Mr. Ed Farce Enforcement
