So heavy it looked like fog. It also overwhelmed the rain gutters.

that's what we've been having most of July. I drove 5 hours in that torrential rain a week ago Monday... it was horrendous . Couldn't see the signs, the traffic was down to 15mph.. chocka-block.. and the journey should only have taken 3 hours at most...
Dangerous driving weather for sure Holly, glad you made it with no accidents.

There was a storm like this just about a year ago and it was on a day I delivered meals. It was like driving through a car wash. I got soaked on a few deliveries.

thanks SB..it was touch and go tbh..I saw 2 accidents on the opposite carriageway on the way down. ....

exactly that...that's a good way to describe it....try driving for 5 hours in those conditions it was very scary...
