Lawn mowing guy hasn't shown up in 3 weeks

He said the last time he was here he said he'd be back in 2 weeks. There are weeds knee high and it makes the whole property look unkempt. He isn't answering phone calls or emails and hasn't cashed the last two checks with which I paid him. I hope he didn't fall off his mower an get run over. Of course there are always family or equipment problems that can arise. I know his grandfather isn't well and he's off the meal delivery route. But I think in that case, he could have called and said he wouldn't be mowing for a while. This is just speculation, though. I seem to have a real problem with lawn maintenance people.

Sounds like this a young person? He may not know how to cash the checks you wrote him, seriously. And, calling to say he wouldn't be mowing, I'm going to have to say(rightly or wrongly) that most young people wouldn't think to call.

He's 31 if you consider that young. He did cash some checks earlier in the season. He was always good about calling to say when he was on his way (e.g. "I'll be there in 20 minutes.")

Yes, but nothing's been posted there since March 26 last year.

Well, I hope he's alright and nothing bad happened to him. If I were you, I'd just start shopping around for a reputable lawn service to do the job. Good luck.

I thought he was a teen also. Lol, nowadays I may tell my husband that this nice old guy came over to pet the puppy on a walk, then follow up he's not too old, likely younger than me. Yeah, those under sixty are now spring chickens.

I did look into that. Very expensive - like $500 for 2 weeks. How am I going to get it to my house? And I'd probably need a credit card.

perhaps they've run away together, or they've killed each other. odd that he's not cashed your cheques...

Doesn't look that bad. I see some flower/weed things in the background. Perhaps you will hear from him or have to get another lawn person. In my town, I see lawn and yard care trucks and trailers all over the place.
