When I was little people would ask what I wanted to be when I grew up.
People sometimes talk about having a hobby or something to do during retirement. But it is never worded as "what do you want to be" when you retire.
It occurs to me that retirement could be a chance to be something new without the pressure of having to make a living off of it. For example, you could be a writer and put you things out to read for free, or release a digital book with no concern about how it sells.
I am thinking of many of the creative professions here - artist, musician, writer, designer, etc.
There is probably a high chance I spend my retired life just reading and playing games and crafting. (Not retired yet.) But some days I daydream of doing something more.
