remember last year I had a bunch of hunks here chopping down my Holly tree... that did wonders for my eyes...:ROFLMAO:
The old double-standard. 😂

Why, just the other day we heard calls for public execution for the "misogyny" of whistling even though it hardly ever happens today.

Today's temperature of 111 degrees is still well below the record of four years ago that hit 119.8 degrees

Left: my usual breakfast; right: I am just fixing my favorite milkshake with ice, fat free milk, and super healthy supplements
like red beets, amino acids, collagen peptides and green veggie powder

Yesterday my daughter and her friend made it to the top of Mt. Hollywood (a 3 1/2 hour roundtrip hike from the parking
lot.) Just below them is the back of the Hollywood sign, and near the top center is Santa Catalina Island over 50 miles away.

Today my wife and daughter are to the San Diego Zoo, and on Tuesday/Wednesday they will be at Legoland in Carlsbad,
joint by my younger daughter's family. On Thursday I have an appointment with my dermatologist, but on Friday my
daughter and I will be spending the whole day somewhere, maybe driving up to Idyllwild on Mt. San Jacinto where I haven't
been for many years.

Then on Saturday, my daughter will fly to Hong Kong back to work, but only after taking the bus over the 34 mile bridge crossing the Pearl River Delta into mainland China. She will come home again for Christmas. My wife and I have visited her a few times, and my wife will fly again to HK over Thanksgiving to visit our daughter. But I am now too old to take the 14 hours non-stop flight. I am "over the hill."

I did some financial stuff. I also replenished my travel cosmetic bag and pre-packed some items for my next trip. I always say I'm going to do that when I return from vacation, but don't, then I regret it when it's time to pack again.

And yay! The heating pad helped. My side isn't bothering me now and I was able to move around normally today.

I type this on my shiuny new M3 iMac which came yesterday. Crikey it's FAST! A freelance photo day today. One of our local towns, Heysham, is being judged in the Great Britain in Bloom 'Coastal Village' category after winning in North West in Bloom last year. His Nibs is their photographer for the day. I've done a lot of this in my old hometown. Always a fun thing to photograph :)

Look forward to seeing the photographs. It's been a long time since I've been to Heysham.

Good Tuesday morning, kids. No rain expected today but it'll still be hot. It looks like Hurricane Debbie is going to stay well to our south and east.

@jet Yup. That would piss me off, too, but at least the mail wasn't delayed until after next week so that you'd have gone and been turned away (cold comfort!).

I can hardly wait to see if any new seeds birthed themselves during the night :) At daylight there's more to clean up in the iris bed in front of the house. I love seeing the blooms in spring but sure do dislike cleaning up when the foliage starts dying. Lawn needs to be mowed again. That'll get done this afternoon.

Maybe I'll get wild and crazy today and buy a lottery ticket.

Debbie is slowly moving out of our area. Still gloomy and wet but sunshine is on the afternoon menu.
Need to go to BJs club to pick up our monthly order. Lots of bulky items that we stock up on. They bring it right out to the car and put in the back. Helps us a lot not to have to handle these items many times.
Recycling truck just came. Garbage pick up was yesterday.
Have a good one, 🥰

Morning everyone....72F at present, semi sunny, no rain today...

Foggy 70* out supposed to get up to 78,,night time 60.

We hope to get out & buy a small amount of peaches today.

Going to e a busy socially week for us.
Small get together with cousins we seldom see often.
All class reunion at one of local taverns.

Parade,, Saturday,, we usually drive one of our cars with some other owners in the parade.
Lady that registers the group has moved on to a different group.

Probably won't watch the parade as Hubby's knee is bothering him.

New zinnias and bachelor buttons were born during the night:) I finished cutting back the iris in front but haven't finished weeding the flower bed. It's a big chore. I'll do more tomorrow.

Don't know what else is on the agenda today because I haven't thought about it. That means thinking wasn't on the agenda...

On my early walk at 6:45, walked twice around the complex. I had my umbrella with me because it looked like the heavens would open but didn't, temp was 72 with no humidity
Today,I've invited 2 Tudor PLaza friends, Art and Dini to come see my apt& have lunch, they are looking forward to this, the highlight of my day
Patrick called me last night, we have a legal contract, everybody has signed it inc the lawyers. He'll be stopping by to give me my copy. The past couple of days after he told me the good news, I've found myself getting emotional e.g tears. he told me 'that's normal, nothing to be ashamed about' I bought my apt in '88 when I was 36,now 36 yrs later it will feel strange letting it go

I love zinnias...they are easy to grow around here with big beautiful blooms.

Were you anywhere near where the tornado went though? I just saw the film on Facebook. Pretty unusual for this in Buffalo.
