Ever seen anyone dressed same as you?

Doubtful... as a youngster, my mom made my clothes

Took me a (long) while to develop a fashion sense of my true self... lots of false starts and bumbling attempts

Now I go for autumn colors in classic, understated style.

Noooo wayyy! 😱 That’s truly shocking. I also thought value Villiage was a Canadian corporation that recycled clothes worn by Canadian people AND that the profits went back into Canadians needing a helping hand. That’s VERY misleading. My husband even thought that the workers there were volunteers. THAT I knew wasn’t true. I shall have to reconsider my shopping choices as well as who I’m donating my things to.
Thanks Jim.
Patty here is a link to a CBC TV news article about Value Village as a for profit corporation, in both the USA and in Canada. I all ways try to provide facts to back up what I write here. The Corporation's shares are traded on the New York stock exchange. Last year the Corporation made a 1.7 billion dollar profit between the USA and Canada.

I believed you the first time you told me
You do your research

Only a handful of times in my life I have seen a woman wearing the same top or dress. It felt very strange.
We are all unique in what we wear but most of us buy mass produced clothes so it's surprising we do not see more people wearing the same items.

Damn, this thread topic made me laugh. :D

I spent a good number of years traveling into London for work. The men all looked the same. Suit, tie, white pressed shirts. Black shoes. highly polished. All with a newspaper under the arms, preferably a broadsheet. Hilarious.

Thanks. It goes back to the days when I was doing the P.I. thing. A good investigator lives or dies based on their ability to find facts and present them in a way that the client can understand easily. Remind me to tell you about my investigation of an exploding can of Campbell's tomato soup.
An exploding can of Campbell’a tomato soup?

Ok! You’ve got my curiosity peeking?🫣 šŸ˜‚

When I was much younger, sometimes I would see someone with the same top or dress I bought but never at the same time of me wearing it. And of course, in elementary (Catholic school) the girls all wore the same tunics and blouses.

No -- only because it's real difficult to get some guy wearing a pocket T-shirt with the ketchup stain in the same spot as on my T-shirt. And we ain't even talking color of T-shirt and cargo shorts. Sheesh.

Occasionally I see somebody wearing a top the same as one I have

Not surprising since I shop at chain stores.

Haven't yet seen someone wearing the same top at the same time as me. Would be amusing if that happened.

This is the identical tops I have in Red / green and royal blue myself and others wear to our dances
they have the maximum amount of bling for me .
Of course I have others but that’s the style most wear …..nothing fancy or frilly worn to our ballroom dancing .

I liked the look of this skirt on eBay ..today , so I just bought it ….cost $16.00 brand new ..Nonib price $89.00
The style has nice flare for dancing and cool in summer being a jersey fabric.
Only I usually have to take most skirts up as they are to long for me , I like my skirt just to cover my knees
so I usually alter them at the waist rather than mess about with the factory sewn hemline

That's what I was getting at. It is such a peculiar feeling if it happens. I would make a joke of it to cover any embarrassment.

That's really nice, perfect with plain black top. Excellent bargain!

I used to love clothes and fashion but in recent years I have lost interest. I'm at home mostly, so why waste money.
If I need something new I have certain Amazon favourites I know will fit, but I never go out clothes shopping as such. If we are out in town I might have a look in passing certain shops.
I suppose when younger, working and with a busy social life, it mattered far more to look the part.

@Rose65

I have simple black tops to wear with that skirt .

To be honest if we didn’t do the social ballroom dancing I wouldn’t bother buying extra clothes either .

The dancing is our exercise for our brains ….to remember the steps:):)…. exercise for our bodies to keep fit , and prevent falls by keeping
Up the strength in our legs . ( we also walk for exercise)

Way to many seniors end up nursing homes / wheelchairs /or die simply because they have falls and break hips due to in (some cases ) weakness due to lack of exercise.

I usually wear a gold necklace it’s thicker than a chain so it can change the look of a top with a little jewellery
The lady who’s had the same outfit on as me lives quite close to the dance hall ( community hall) as they are called in Australia, and twice she’s just walked home and changed her skirt .

I've bought most of my skirts / tops on ebay at a fraction of the shop prices
The seller sells all out of season stock on eBay from ….Rivers / NoniB / Rockmans / Katies …(all owned by same company)

A group of us in civilian clothes and hair marched single file into the "Green Monster" at Lackland AFB along with several other flight groups. When we came out of that building later, many had a difficult time figuring out which flight line to line back up in as acquaintances were no longer recognizable. Our hair was now a centimeter long and everyone was wearing the same green fatigue clothes.:D
