Did anyone use Photobucket for picture storage?

Yes, I did too and lost some of them -- but not all, as I first downloaded the photos to my computer, then uploaded them to Photobucket. I guess they figured they weren't making enough money, so they decided to start charging not a little bit, but a LOT for photo hosting.

I now use postimages.org .

yes I did and like you I was horrified when they wouldn't let me access what was the free site unless I paid, so they kept sending me emails asking me first of all for £400 per year.. then over the months it got less and less.. till ultimately they said £4.99... and I could access my pictures at least . So I paid, and what I got when I got into the site were all my pictures with PHOTOBUCKET printed in huge lettering all over them. Totally unusable! .. I just walked away from it.. I think they're Scamming bandits

I use postimages as well not for hosting but for uploading to website lie this.... but PI isn't really very good either.....very often it will blank out my pictures on this and other places so other people can't see them

I've tried other hosting photo sites like Imgur, flickr, many more.. I just can't find a reliable one..
 
Long ago and far away, I used PB.
I too use imgur now but don't have an account or anything
Just use imgur for hosting and posting as I go along
All my photos are on an external hard drive for safe keeping
 
I used PB as a method to load my photos on social sites. I still have them on my computer. I really need to weed them out.
 
One picture I really miss is back in the day I had a guinea pig. I took him to a pet store for a picture with Santa. all the "elves" fussed over him as they had not had a guinea pig before. But in order to go back and get it, I would have to pay, and I think most pics are no longer sharable
