To tell people how wonderful you are, since they probably would not know it by your actions. Or lack of actions. .
Bwahaha, pun intended?I see them all over. Signs to the left, signs to the right,
Tribalism might be it. Harry down the street has the same sign, you get to knock on Harry's door, and invite him over to your backyard BBQ. As Dr Seuss said, stars upon thars. It could be considered a kind of tribalism or a bonding ritual. It can also be manifested in the forms of bumper stickers or flags in the back of pickup trucks, almost bordering on intimidation of those of the opposing political viewpoint.
I hold my own political beliefs close to my chest, not wishing to have bricks thrown through my windows after dark in an era of extreme partisanship and a “facts be dam*ed” mentality. I thankfully don’t find the large political signs to be as prevalent in the current cycle as they were in 2020. People are simply getting exhausted by all of the drama, posturing, and outrageousness…![]()
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the rightBwahaha, pun intended?
I actually saw that one as I was returning from a road trip yesterday, Papa. Did a double take and wondered why they didn't at least make the effort to try to find a current sign.TRUMP PENCE 2020 HUBA HUBA !
It's extremely difficult to overestimate the gullibility of the voting public.Perhaps that works on the weak minded, but not sure that's someone who should be voting if that's all it takes.
One might consider avoiding unpleasant.places.Our election campaigns here last 6 weeks then voting, the count ,and it's over (thank goodness). Yours are wild and it feels like they last 4 years.
Why?That doesn't happen here....
Exactly the same situation I'm in.Since I live in "a house divided", the agreement is NO signs, NO bumper stickers, NO campaign flags. We don't even discuss the candidates because it never ends well.
I don't really know why we even go vote because all we do is cancel each other out, but vote we do!
I bet she's also smarter than a lot of the candidates.
I think people who vote for someone because they just want to claim they voted for the winner are weak minded. JMOI don't think one sign matters much, but having lots of signs in an area indicates the candidate is a popular person, and could win the election. People tend to vote for the perceived winner.
