Rewatching a Show Because You Forgot

Have you ever started watching a show or series and forgot that you’d already watched it. Maybe you kept watching because you couldn’t remember the ending.

Many shows are similar and have unknown actors. We started a British series recently and kept feeling it looked too familiar. I went to the final in the series. As I zipped through bits and pieces, DH remembered the ending.

Yes, I have done that with books also. If it was someting I enjoyed I will watch it again. If it is something I have seen so many times I know the dialogue I will put it on at night and go to sleep with it on.
I do it with books because nowadays they keep changing the titles, and the book covers...

Do you remember the TV show ''Monkey''.. ? about 40 years ago my brother lived with us and he was addicted to ''Monkey'' I haven't seen it since, and it's being rerun on TV currently.. so I've recorded some to watch

I don't remember a show called Monkey. It would be new to me. Hopefully you'll enjoy watching it. It will bring back some memories.

If I take 12 books out of the library, I can guarantee that I've read one of them before....at least part of the book.

I'll start reading and by the 10th page, I'll say, "Hmmm, isn't this about the woman who had a twin sister that she didn't know about and the evil twin killed their father but she got blamed for it and finally a detective falls in love with her and solves the case before she gets a ride on Old Sparky?"

Now, wouldn't you think I'd remember THAT book? But noooooo.....

I haven't rewatched any shows because I forgot I had watched them, but found when rewatching old shows, sometimes I can't remember how the plot progressed, so it's like I'm watching for the first time.
More like this for me too.

Lately, I've been watching shows and seeing actors from other shows and having to figure out where I've seen them before.

In the past 2 days, I've watched 2 episodes of the Mentalist back to back where I couldn't figure out where I had seen the actors before. Weirdly, both were main characters on Star Trek: Enterprise.

Memory recall can be frustrating but it can also mean enjoying reading or viewing previous books and programs. Currently I am catching up on Foyle's War.

heck the commercials take so long now that i have to clic the
remote to find out what I'm watching on which channel@!!!
Yep! Damn frustrating. Sometimes the commercials last approx. fifteen minutes while the program runs for five. Then they abruptly interrupt a program at the most interesting part maybe in order to offer us cheerios. Now, being interrupted in that rude way arouses frustration and anger. Strange way to advertise.

You can look it up on imdb.com (Internet Movie Database); I'm always doing it to find out. :)
Thanks. That's how I figured it out. 🙂

Was so sad when IMDB turned to Freevee for the viewing portion of the site. Amazon bought IMDB a long time ago, but they let it be for a long while. Now that it's Freevee, there's more shenanigans like series that have the first or last season on Amazon Prime, so the whole series can't be watched for free unless you have Amazon Prime. In the IMDB days, it was a standalone thing so Amazon Prime wasn't involved.

Even the database isn't as reliable as it was. But for things like looking up actors, it still works.
