Chihuahuas are way more territorial than Frenchies. I'd suggest letting the chihuahua have it's space and put all your dog's stuff in all the areas the other dog isn't particularly passionate about, or is the least protective of...it's gonna be protective of all of it, but it'll calm down if it sees your lady pet and feed your Frenchie once or twice a day, and then more and more often.Here's another issue M, what about my dog?, I have a 2 year old Frenchie that we recently introduced to her dog, didn't go well at first, but as time went on they were able to get past the initial "handshake" and weren't growling at each other, actually all my dog wanted to do is play, her dog did the growling typical of a chihuahua I have heard.
What her dog won't want to see is your dog in mom's lap. Give that a few months if it ever happens at all. But like I said, her dog should see mom occasionally pet and feed your dog, and talk to it, too, by name....and gradually more and more often. Kind of see how the chau takes to that.
