U.S. citizens. Will you prepare for civil unrest in November?

What if the electric grid is damaged and we have no electricity?

This thread was intended to be about survival. So, since I was so badly prepared when the pandemic came in 2020 I'm am going to stock up on a lot of necessary items this time around. I plan to get hurricane lanterns. OTC meds. & TP of course, And I also plan to buy extra extra bottled water and even canned foods though I usually don't eat that stuff. And batteries. And wood for the fireplaces.

I'm going to do better this time.
I remember that your mental health took a real nose dive after the worst of the pandemic. It’s understandable that you’d be overly concerned about November especially after what’s happened in the past. I also won’t get into it cause that IS politics which isn’t allowed. I added a list stuff to consider IF chaos and unrest break out. It’s in the first post in this thread. In the meantime , try not to think about it.

Buy things that you look forward to and enjoy then rotate those items into your normal routine and replace them so they are always fresh.

Eating unfamiliar foods during an emergency just seems to compound the misery.
I suppose that's true @Aunt Bea but fresh food won't keep long. Maybe if I eat the canned stuff on lace tablecloths with a glass of champagne?

Where? I’d like to see that… especially the well known and broadly respected organizations.
Too political. The page I in have in mind names a candidate and beats on that repeatedly. It drips with hostility and incitement.

There isn't any way to present it here without appearing inflammatory. Interesting effect of censorship, hmm? It so easily undermines discourse by preventing sources from being cited.

Remember the stew mentioned above. And now that I'm not doing low salt (went too far) those MREs might need to be a new adventure.
