On the UK TV channel, that features ALL British programs...between shows..they display a beautiful, stunning fountain with traffic going
'round it..And I wondered where that was.

Got 'my answer' from a clue/question on Jeopardy...
It's the Eros fountain in Piccadilly Circus.

Any 'of our "cousins"'..been there, seen it?😉

of course, it's like asking a New Yorker if they've seen Central Park....

Many, many times.

I admit, I miss the West End of the 70's. It was dirtier, grubbier, and more seedy. And wonderful.

25 year ago, I visited the U.K. I turned on the 'telly' to see British TV. There were two guys, Nigel and Bruce, in their late 70s, early 80s, who were going to spend the next 2 hours, driving up the M4, and stopping to find interesting ferns.

The only Bruce that comes to mind is the all round entertainer and Tv show host Bruce forsyth but he was definitely not in his 70's or 80 25 years ago... Nigel?.. again the only one I can think of would be a couple of actors....again who wouldn't have been old enough then

I can't even think what you might be referring to......and please believe me you cannot stop on the M4 unless it's a dire emergency

It was two very elderly men, Nigel and Bruce. They got into this open two seater car, and drove up the M4, and pulled over to the side of the road and climbed up the embankments, looking at ferns. I remember their names, because you can get any more British sounding names as Nigel & Bruce- don't remember their last names. It was the M4, because that's the only UK highway I know, which I learned from the Tv show. This was in 1999.

yes I don't doubt you, but I'm wondering who it could have been... because 25 years ago the only Nigels'.. and Bruce I know in UK TV wouldn't have been old enough

Are you sure it wasn't an antiques show.. or similar ?
