75-year-old Ohio woman pleads guilty to robbing bank

i wonder if it was just to go to jail perhaps out of retirement money .......or a serious diagnosis that now will be paid for on taxpayers for medical and room and board seems like a desperate move but she sure did not try to disguise herself in that video of the robbery

well at the end of the video her sister says she was conned out of a load of money and the person who did it said they worked for the bank

3 meals a day, nice warm bed every night, free TV, radio, whatever.
What I have noticed about “some” prisons is that in many instances the prisoners did not get the quality of healthcare that they would have received if they were on the outside.

Yes but it was all free.Someone on SS couldn't afford medical care.

But at her age no one would be interested.
I understand what you're saying but she couldn't avoid all the prison screaming and fighting that goes on all through the night. This is what white collar worked who get jailed complain about the most, is the lack of sleep due to the screaming all night around the prison.. plus again, the lack of food..... lack of privacy in everything... etc

There is a federal prison in Pennsylvania named Allenwood. It’s maximum security prison that has 2 separate housing units. One unit houses the worse of the worse. The other unit is used for prisoners like this woman. It’s a more up to date prison than Lewisburg, although Lewisburg is rated as a medium security federal prison.

Either one is not a nice place to retire in. In most federal prisons, everyone is given a job and even elderly prisoners that are well are expected to do something, even if it’s a librarian or other low level labor type job. Both prisons offer educational programs and like to say they are geared towards rehabilitating those that are able to be rehabilitated.
