Are you 'pleased with yourself'...
that a project 'you took on'..
turned out 👌
Just the 'way you wanted' ?

Wanna 'brag'?

I started writing a book in 2005. It took me till 2014 to self-publish it. While I'd love to pat myself on the back, I can't really. It took my editor, Harry Reinert, to kick my butt, clean up my crappy drafts (multiple) and make this book the best I could make it. Very grateful to Harry, who passed away about 4 years ago.

It's an historical book on the 298th Army Band in West Berlin, a band I served in for not quite 9 years back in the early 80s and early 90s. Definitely not a book for the average reader, but I still get an occasional sale here and there. I wrote it mostly for those who served there, not to make money. Very pleased to have finished it, but it would not have happened without Harry.

Nah... I don't want to brag... well, yes I do. I'm a handy guy to have around. :)
I have built my own house from clearing the spot, to finishing it. (my little blog sorta shows it)
I have also finished a tiny house. (was to be for my mom).
I have converted a greyhound bus.
I have done complete kitchen make over's (twice).
I've replaced carpet and put down tile.
I've renovated a lost cause house. (turned into a sinkhole loss)
I redid one house after a kitchen fire. (water/smoke, bathroom damage throughout the rest)
Couldn't do anything with the last house fire. (it was to the ground).:(
In between, I've kept the wife's classic hot rod going. (y)
I've re-painted inside and out almost all the homes we've had. (9 of the 12)
Yep...... beep, beep, blowing my own horn. ;)

I'm impressed.

Dang, maybe I should have married you!

We had an assortment of end tables, book cases and library desks in various wood finishes. I discovered that spraying them black and adding a coat or two of polyurethane made them useable again. They look great and fade into the background making spaces appear larger. One of my renters is talented with a spray can and I am good with a brush. Sorry, Dad, about disrespecting the wood.

Well., 'not quite'..But I really wanted to know..
pressing the remote to turn on the tv..and it didn't..
oh! No..tv died? (TV not that old)
pressed the on/off button in the back of tv..nothing..
reached around the back (close quarters
42" in Armoire) to power strip..
Nope
Got an extension cord..plugged in
Y-a-a-h!

Who knew a power strip 'goes bad'

Pretty proud of myself!😉

Well I;d ve done a lot in this house as helper to the soon2bex...

Built a barn.. (big job)..then installed electrics inside..

Erected 100 feet of 6 feet fencing.. both sides...

Laid ceramic tiles in the kitchen...

remodelled a whole bathroom including the elctric Shower.. and sink and vanity unit with drawers..

Boxed in piping in the livingtroom..

Fitted horizontal blinds in bedrooms

Painted every room... and wallpapered a feature wall in the livingroom

Painted and created a feature wall in the office room

Installed a cooker hood.. and fan..

Installed a Tumble dryer. after making a hole in the outside wall for the hose..

Laid Ceramic floor tiles in the foyer..

Created an office room after partitioning a third of one bedroom .. and adding a door so it looks like a separate room...

Fitted wall to wall , flor to celing tiling in both the bathrooms

Since he's been gone... on my own... I;ve drilled the walls and hung picture hooks for over 10 big pictures..

Assembled a 6 foot lamp with shelves..

Assembled 3 Ottoman chests...

Drilled screws into the garden fencing to hang plant pots...
