Which Teenage Girlfriends or Boyfriends do you Remember most?

This one tore my heart up, but it was a dream come true. The prettiest girl and one of the most popular in 11th grade invited me to see her one Saturday. We sat on her coach talking for about 5 minutes and then she kissed me. Not just a little peck, this was full contact, tongue dancing stuff. She smelled like ripe peaches, and we practiced this act for a good hour or so. I had never been kissed that way, that long, and with a totally dreamy girl.

I floated home, and was sick with love. On Monday I was looking for her at school, and then saw her. She was walking with her boyfriend. and didn't even acknowledge me. My heart fell to the ground. It was a tough one to get used to. But I can remember how wonderful it felt being in loves/lusts embrace. :)
Well, at least she let you hold her in your arms and kiss her.

It would have to be Larry, my first love. I was 15 and a sophomore. I'd see him in the halls and it was kind of like love at first sight. The wait to find out if he liked me too was excruciating. One of my cousins, who was in my grade, told me to just be patient...so she must've known something I didn't at the time. Finally we got together and "went steady" until I was 18. We were off and on for a couple more years after that.

Then there was Willie. I met him when I was 14. He was nice and kind to me at a time when I was used to being picked on (chubby girl with glasses). We became good friends who kind of liked each other too. Years later, he told me I broke his heart. And by that time, he was married with a child and I felt he was the one I should have held onto. But what did I know at 14?! We didn't keep in touch but I would see him occasionally when we went to my godmother's church. He sang in the men's choir. He and his wife had a few more children. Hmmm...maybe it's good I didn't hold on to him. Barefoot and pregnant definitely was not my thing. 😅

So as soon as women become pregnant they go barefoot? Makes carrying the load easier?

1st real girlfriend was during high school, my junior year.

She went to another school near me and I would see her when I could.
Father was Japanese and her mother was Italian and she was very pretty.
She was very smart, a very good musician (played the Cello) and quiet.

I'd pick her up on weekends, head to whatever spot had the best surf. (I was teaching her to surf)
If the waves were too big for her skill level, she'd hang out and watch.

We went to a lot of concerts together, two that I remember were the Doors and Santana.

Joined the military out of high school and we just drifted apart.

My buddy, Tim. He was a foul mouthed guy, who could swear up a storm. Even for a teenage guy, he was gross.
He became a Catholic Bishop. 🙂
Then there was Sue, she and I would sit out on her porch for hours at night, and listen to her mom's super loud snoring. You could hear her mom a block away. Sue went to M.I.T.

Sounds like a very exotically interesting person.

Yes, I am familiar with it. But I was wondering if it has some foundation in women actually feeling more comfortable being barefoot while pregnant.
I can't imagine ever being comfortable while barefooted. The couple of times I did it (and not for that long) it creeped me out. I couldn't do it now anyway because I have a tendency for heal spurs and my feet must be cushioned at all times. I even bought rubber shower slippers. Anyway, these old saying come from somewhere, so I decided to look it up. This from Wikipedia:

Thanks for the information. Shame on them! No wonder women have decided to fight for equal rights!
