I'm not cooking tonight. I'm eating takeout Mexican food—a chicken with mole tamale, rice, and black beans, and shredded beef enchilada with salsa verde.

Later, I'll dip into vanilla ice cream with a caramel swirl.

Today I made and just finished a bowl of delicious beef-vegetable soup. Ahhhhh.

Tonight was a quick down-home meal: fried corn beef hash, fried eggs and biscuits.

My stomach is at this very minute reminding me why it's been a looong time since we've eaten that. And it's going to be a looong time until we have it again....

My gut tells me the same thing , my DH kept saying do you want to get a burger ….a proper one from a burger shop not a Macca's ….anyway I finally said OK cause we very rarely eat out ( all our food is cooked from fresh ingredients where possible )
anyway I ate half the burger ,and had a sick gut for 3-4 days after

Tonight for dinner we had husband caught trout on homemade bread with baked potato with graded cheese & homemade relish. Unfortunately I could only eat one piece. I put the other piece in the fridge.

Me: Banquet chicken pot pie. I eat like a 12 year old.

Those rotisserie chickens are so good.
Did you know that Costco actually loses money selling them? They say that the chicken draws in people who then buy more than the chicken. It’s a strategic move that actually pays off.

WOW, a senior couple does their dog walking down my street at least 2 times a day, today i was on the porch and waved and
hellowed them, and the lady comes walking up the driveway
to hand me a plastic container, full of beef stew she said!!! so
very thoughtful of them........
