When it comes to phones, I can sue some of the features. I'm not into texting. I guess I'm old school, why text when I can actually talk to someone. Plus, I don't know what all those three letter abbreviations stand for.

I'm not on my phone simply because the keys are too small for my long nails..... but..I have whatsapp on my phone set up on my computer, so I can text people using my computer keyboard it's much easier. I rarely use any abbreviations...

Same here. And my phone has voice-to-text, so I don't have to fumble with the teeny tiny teyboard.

yep this is why have Whatsapp on the computer desktop is much handier when it comes to not only texting but sending big files or photos

I do not like it but I use it a lot.
If I need some work done in the house or garden, the service workers will text me instead of calling. They also like for me to text them the address and all info needed for the service order.
My daughter prefers texting to calling. When my husband still worked, I used to text him while he was away on business. That way, he could answer me whenever he was free to do so. Same with my daughter when she is at work.
My sister lives in Africa, so we use WhatsApp. Same for Europe.

I find texting to be both efficient & convenient tho 100% of my at-home texting is done via ipad keyboard instead of the tiny cell phone keyboard.

sadly these days the younger genration don't want to speak on the phone regardless of how much time they have available....it's all about texting....

I hate getting cold-called. Phone rings and I have to put down whatever I'm doing and find out why I'm being called? Much prefer to know when to expect a call. For the same reason I try never to cold call anyone else.

Not just "no" but HELL NO. One of the biggest turnoffs for me is seeing somebody with head down and flying thumbs -- sometimes while driving. Grrrrrr.....
