Do you want to live without computers, iPhones, etc.????

I could. Temporarily. I still think back to before we had them and lived OK. Some people will never know that.

If I ever move and buy a place and want to save some additional money, I might dump cable for a time.

OP is:
Everybody gripes about AI, computers, smart phones, electric cars and everything else about the 21st Century. But now that you're used to them, would you want to live without them?

OP should be:
Some people gripe about technology as AI, computers, smart phones, electric cars and much else about the 21st Century. But now that you're used to some of them, which would you want to live without?

Would not prefer to live without any of the technology things as I personally use whatever, though whether I might use some of them or not is trivial. If I don't want to use something, no one is forcing me to and instead simply choose not to. For instance there are myriad kitchen gadgets and appliances marketed in retail stores. Instead of using some fancy tool to cut slice vegetables, smash mash potatoes, etc, I'm fine doing so with just a fork/spoon/knife even though it might take a few seconds longer. I bought one of those cheap jar lid openers last year since my hands have a bit of arthritis, but could just as easily continued to use my large combo pliers.

But I can readily criticize how OTHERs often do use technology products with smartphones a popular example. And well understand how some technology products like the Internet despite a long list of valuable uses, also has a long list of issues like exposing people to criminals.

Given my own extensive career background in computers, I personally dislike limitations of tiny display screens without a keyboard/mouse, with an awkward operating system targeting simple computer users. However, I still find plenty of useful ways to use my dated moto g, especially when on the road for days and I need to say understand what the revised weather forecast says, or where supermarkets are in unfamiliar cities, etc.

I need the internet for work, so it's a necessity, all that information at your fingertips. Saves trips to the library. I use the mobile phone for emergencies.
But think about this, prior to the internet, mobile devices and pc's, the greatest civilizations were built without this technology. So we really don't need it. It's just that we're used to having them.

of course you are asking wrong people though - as obviously anyone posting on this forum is not living without the internet, and a computer in some form (desktop, smart phone etc)

Hell No, but you cannot trust a bit of it. You got to figure it out just like when it was word of Mouth B.S.
The Ladies are getting 3 AM knocks on the door. So they got Bear Spray and Vehicle warning devices. "So to it he said!"

No. Well, at least when it comes to computers. Smartphones I don't care so much about. What is needed, and inevitable, is increased amounts of regulation for the internet.

This is one of the reasons why I refuse to have ''appliances'' like washing machines, stoves, and fridges etc, which work by computer .. because if something hapens to that I've lost the use of those items..

I have modern appliances which work perfectly well with me just pressing a button...

I could easily ditch it all...spend my days at the Cottage sipping a strong coffee...soaking in these beautiful Autumn days.
