I haven't seen this but I would be surprised if she would go to Europe. She has huge endorsement deals here:Just read yesterday that Caitlin is considering going to Europe next season to play basketball. She listed a number of reasons for the move, including more money. If she goes to Europe, the WNBA will suffer with attendance. I don’t know if it’s a done deal yet or not.
When she made the announcement, she said part of the reason for leaving the WNBA was because the league wasn’t giving her any protection. Players from other teams were taking cheap physical shots at her and the officials and the league’s administrators weren’t giving her enough protection.I haven't seen this but I would be surprised if she would go to Europe. She is making most of her money from these endorsements. Her salary is only in the $75,000 range per year playing for the Fever. Her net worth is already $5 million. I would rather see her go to a team that has a better supporting cast. There is a reason the Fever has been near the bottom of the league for a long time. She can't do it herself. They need to draft or trade for the that missing person.

To my knowledge she has not made an announcement that she is leaving WNBA. I watched about the first 5 minutes of your linked video and it was entirely speculation. When she made the announcement, she said part of the reason for leaving the WNBA was because the league wasn’t giving her any protection. I watched a few of her games where players shoved her in the face and were given fouls and even called them flagrant, but allowed the players to stay in the game. Only after the second flagrant foul are they ejected from the game.

Like I wrote in my first post, she is “considering” making a move to Europe. Why shouldn’t she? More money and she wouldn’t have to tolerate the abuse she receives in the WNBA. I think there have been 3 or 4 of the better players from the WNBA that have already made the move to Europe. If

I will believe it when I see it. If she ever does announce she is leaving the WNBA it will be the leading news headline for a week.
In your post #8 you said and I quote, "When she made the announcement, she said part of the reason for leaving the WNBA was because the league wasn't giving her any protection." That sure sounds to me like you are saying the decision was already made to play in Europe. To my feeble mind it sounded like you had new information that overrode your post #6 "considering", to now it's a done deal.Like I wrote in my first post, she is “considering” making a move to Europe. I don’t know if you watched any of her games, but she took some pretty nasty hits from her opponents, especially when they played Chicago. Angel Reese took advantage of Caitlin by issuing a lot of cheap shots on her.
The WNBA has worse referees than the NBA and many of them should be fired.
She is also considering trying her luck at going pro in golf. I have never seen her play, so I don’t have an opinion if she could make the LPGA or not. Golf is a sport that requires playing the game throughout the year to stay sharp.
I have been playing for 52 years and my best score was a 71. I also shot 3 hole in ones, but those numbers doesn’t make me a PGA player. I never tried to enter a PGA tournament. I never got involved in the PGA advancement tours or tournaments. I shot pretty well in college and was invited to tryout, but I never had the interest. I enjoyed playing and didn’t really want to go any further than playing in the local tournaments. She's not leaving the WNBA and she's not going play on the LPGA tour. She will participate in some pro-am events. She's an excellent athlete and excellent athletes tend to make pretty good golfers. I think I read that Steph Curry shot an 84 the first time he played. If I ever shot an 84 I would be thrilled, and I've been playing for 15 years.
You've been playing for longer than I have and you're probably a much better athlete. I envy you your skills! It wouldn’t surprise me if she went to Europe to play. It was on ESPN that she was considering for her to enter the draft and that she could get five times the salary she makes here in the U.S. I think she was making $76,000 a year here in the U.S. I just don’t know if she would take her endorsements along with her.

Yes. That poor girl took a lot more crap in her rookie year than any other WNBA rookie I've followed. She's gotten zero respect from a lot of the top players in the league, and imo, the Fever coach hasn't been as supportive as she should be. It's been wishy-washy support, at best. When she made the announcement, she said part of the reason for leaving the WNBA was because the league wasn’t giving her any protection. Agree 100%, $76,000 for a rookie is ridiculous. When they raise the salaries of women in sports it will be a great day.
I think you are going to eat your words. She's not leaving the WNBA and she's not going play on the LPGA tour. She will participate in some pro-am events. She might indeed play in an LPGA tournament. Whether she makes the cut or not is a different story.I think you are going to eat your words.
She will be playing in an LPGA Tournament and a Pro-Am event.
