Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar confirmed killed.

That's what I always think, another nut is right behind them. I heard a commentator say the say is true with Putin.

Think about it. There are leaders, and that's fine. But in killing them, they're so far killed 42,000 Palestinians in this war. That anger, that frustration, isn't going to magically dissipate because a "leader" have been killed. They're simply creating the next generation of problems. Which is why diplomacy is the only way forward.

I don't think that's what they want. They want every Jew wiped off the earth.
Unfortunately, I believe you are correct. Mohammad, the founder of Islam, and its spiritual guide, began his religion by attacking and defeating the Jewish settlement of Khaybar. It would seem that Islam will Never, and I do mean Never, agree to peace with Jews. Perhaps the US and maybe Canada could offer them a home here?

They've tried "diplomacy." Gazans had near total autonomy since 2005 as part of Israel's "diplomacy" and look what happened.

It sounds like the Israeli soldiers who killed him did so unexpectedly in a random battle. I don't think it matters much. Hamas has plenty of guys who lust after that job, and they won't quit until either the Jews are dead, or Iran and a few other countries are leveled.

"Which is why diplomacy is the only way forward."

Well, we tried diplomacy with Japan ....... Nothing ! But those two bombs seemed to have an affect ........ jmo

Can you elaborate on the attempted diplomacy between Pearl Harbour and Hiroshima please.
If there was any diplomacy between those two events, I'm not familiar with it. I believe there was some communication before Pearl Harbor, but Japan wanted more that the Allies were willing to concede. It was after Hiroshima when diplomacy, one sided as it might have been, came into play.

I don’t see this ending anything as the terrorist actions are not being drive by a person or persons but rather deeply rooted convictions.
I've wondered about this before. Are terrorists driven by conviction, or is conviction just a rational to justify blood lust? I honestly don't know the answer to this, and I doubt that it's a simple "one or the other," anyway.

Maybe this goes back years when someone was relating an event where some guys walked into a school and paraded the teacher and her class outside and machine gunned them all down at the knees. I asked, "Why would anyone do that?" The explanation that followed was simply, "Because they were terrorists." There was no explanation why they were terrorists. They were just terrorists. That was the first time I ever heard the word "terrorist." Since then I keep thinking terrorism is a justification for savagery.

It takes a special type to demonstrate convictions by violence. And I would submit that the "special type" is a lower form of humanity. Violence as self defense I understand, but to make a point? To convert others to your religion? To ethnic cleanse? No one [can't] have the world their way. Am I an idealist, or just being practical?

And out of the 42,000 slaughtered, weren't some 4000 young children and babies? As compared with the number of hostages taken, there seems to be quite an imbalance.

No matter who started this particular chapter of the Mid-East horrors, it seems as though there's plenty of blame to be spread among ALL of the adversaries.
Even the USA is divided on the issue, but no one can solve the problem.

I just saw a video supplied by the IDF, that came from a hand size flying drone with a camera built in. The video showed this man sitting in a arm chair in a destroyed apartment building. The IDF soldiers had chased him and 2 others into the building. They sent in the drone, which sent back live video of the man. The IDF soldiers went in and shot him. His DNA had been collected a number of years ago by the Shin Bet, the secret intelligence arm of the IDF. One of his fingers was cut off and sent to a DNA testing lab, which confirmed his identity. No doubt about his identity. When he was killed he was carrying 2 hand guns and wearing a Soviet made armor vest.

In the video he can be seen trying to hit the camera drone with a stick to try to destroy it. JIM.

Wow! that drone went right into the room, apparently, through a blown out window. Talk about maneuverability.

Good.

The tragedy is, this vermin was actually exchanged in a prisoner swap with Israel after Israeli doctors spared no expense in treating him for his cancer. He went back to his murderous thuggery after release and, curiously, it reportedly took an Israeli reservist to level his tank gun at the building in which an unknown number of terrorists had entered. The soldier pressed the button, and Sinwan and his entourage died.
