Yanno how there's something you always wished for?

For me, it's a home with corner windows, a window seat or two, and a kitchen big enough to have a fireplace where I could sit and maybe read a book or peruse recipes. It would be an old-fashioned sort of kitchen, and the fireplace would be of stone.

In my perfect place, the kitchen and bedroom would face east for the morning sunshine.

There would also be an enclosed all-season porch so my kitty could sit there and watch the birds and critters.

If wishes were horses, beggars would ride. If turnips were watches, I'd wear one by my side.

I always thought it would be nice to have a small cottage on the water but that ship has sailed.

At this point in my life a cozy little apartment in town is the best option for me.

I own a co-op. At this stage of my life, I can't see selling and moving. It would be too much. I complain instead and drag myself to the park around the corner. The park is my balcony. I have an inconvenient balcony
