What will you be having for breakfast?

Sixty years after their invention, Pop-Tarts remain beloved by consumers who bought about three billion of them in 2022.

“We didn’t realize that this thing was going to go as well as it did,” said 96-year-old Bill Post, who helped develop Pop-Tarts in the early 1960s. “It went beyond any expectations we had.”

For good or for ill. :ROFLMAO:

This morning I made pancakes, sort of winging it from a box of Mrs. Butterworths. I added rehydrated dried cranberries, some unsweetened applesauce, and some cottage cheese.

The results look scary on the griddle. "Not quite right." But when done and I cut the stack up with sugar-free syrup between them... the result was almost like a bread pudding. While it freely soaked up syrup, it was even moist without any.

Amazing stuff. Good thing I didn't make more because I'd want to wolf it all down. I was worried it would be heavy in the gut, but nope.

As one that usually has no breakfast, since will be at an outdoor music event this afternoon, had a half bowl of bite sized shredded wheat with sugar and milk that ought last me through the active afternoon without anything more than snacks mid day. Since World Series game 2 is at 5pm today, expect will enjoy a larger meal then after returning home mod game.

Pretty much the same breakfast every day …
A Trader Joes High Fiber Cereal topped with five chopped pitted prunes, five chopped Almonds, a few sliced Strawberries, some Bluberries, and Almond Milk. Of course a bowl of the above is accompanied with a cup of Keurig coffee treated with a little Almond Milk. The Almond Milk I use is Silk brand and contains Vitamin D and 50% more Calcium than Dairy Milk.
