Anoter grey cold day... 10 deg....

I had a weird dream last night which was really repetative.. and I hadn't eaten any trigger food before bed.. so I don't know what that was all about
Holly, you had mentioned couple weeks ago you bought a Shark vacuum cleaner had to assemble it,have you gotten around to do so? I'm not good at putting things together either Sue

yes Sue I did.. it wasn't hard to put together in the end. The sheer amount of ttachments was what made me concerned. I've sent it back tho'. I used it for 2 weeks, and it didn't hold a charge for more than 10 minutes and it should be 60 minutes .. also what I didn't realise was that it doesn't stand up by itself, so everytime I stopped vaccing for a minute I had to lay the thing down on the floor, so I returned it...

Well..that's it I'm finished now with that new cordless Shark Vac I bought in October .. cost around £300.. absolute rubbish.. it only holds a a charge for 10 minutes. I just vacc'd the stairs, and just as I started in this office room, the battery ran out and that's after a full charge overnight. So..back it goes, I've just printed the return labels out... I'm so annoyed, ..now I've got to look for another cordless .. :cautious:

I have wasted more money on cordless vacuums, smaller vacuums that are easier to push on my floors with no carpet, and I still get out my 22 year old Sear-Roebuck vacuum. It picks up dog hair better than anything- it would pick up the entire dog if my dogs weren’t so big.

ATM, I am waiting on the farrier. He hd to cancel yesterday and that was ok, IF he would have called me earlier so I didn’t hold ,y horses back from pasture for two hours for nothing🤐

This morning is a great morning to be a horse and I have had to hold them back again — they are NOT at all happy with me. My Walking Horse will forgive the farrier because that is a Walking Horse’s nature.

Not-so-much the Dutch Warmblood; he won’t get too sassy, but he will get sassy enough to drop his behavior GPA to a B or B-🤐 When he’s in a good mood the farrier’s eight year old daughter can hold him for his pedicure😇😇

lol, why do you ask ?
After seriously downsizing during the move from Texas to Oklahoma we got rid of all furniture but kitchen table and chairs. SO is finally willing to replace it if I find the one I want. Not to mention that he hangs onto things while I smuggle them out of the house. So no selling only rehoming. I could use someone to fill those boxes:) He brought the sewing machine back from the curb!

done the weekly shop early, had breakfast out,,its a dreary looking day,a bit chilly.
just ironed my white shirt, found my regimental tie,a pair of grey trousers that fit, blazers brushed, black shoes polished, and im ready for church and laying of wreaths at memorial on sunday, my overcoat is on standbye in case its cold.

Had a nice day with TGS yesterday. ❤️💙❤️ Dropped him off at home so got to see his 8 month old brother and swing by Walmart to pick up the order of household odds and ends I'd placed earlier in the day.

The wind has mostly died down, but the fire continues to rage. Hoping the FFs can get a handle on it soon. So sad to see people who've lost everything.

The only thing I don't like about my corded Kenmore vacs is I have to be very careful not to trip on the cord. I am careful over all about falling these days.
I don't have stairs so that's a factor.

the problem for me with my Corded Cat & Dog Miele is that it;s very heavy to do the stairs with. It's really incredibly heavy and awakward.. so this is why I want a lighter cordless..

haha..I have to laugh at ''he calls himself a Brit, but he's actually a Scot''.. yep that makes him a Brit, as it does me and all Scots, Welsh, and but not Northern Ireland ... Britain is not just for the English...:sneaky: Britain encompasses 3 sovereign countries... as well as all the smaller islands, Isle of Wight, Anglesey, the Isles of Scilly, the Hebrides and the island groups of Orkney and Shetland

The United Kingdom ( UK ) however, .. encompasses 4 sovereign countries..which includes Northern Ireland... the Capital of the Uk is London.. as well as being the capital of England. However each sovereign country has its own Capital city.. Scotland has Edinburgh.. Wales has Cardiff.. Northern Ireland has belfas... but each capital city within the Uk is over-ruled by Central Governeent in London and the English parliament

Your British geography lesson for the day Dear Frank...:D
(took me a while, but I was distracted)

You schooled me about this before, and I know the various regions of Britain. I just think it's interesting Sean calls himself a Brit, especially while he's walking around in his kilt. He obviously accepts 100% he's a subject, and that's fine because he is.

But I have a question; do most Scots think of themselves as having a dual identity, Brit and Scot, or do most consider themselves British?

I've always thought that mainly Scots who live and work within England think of themselves as British/Brits. I don't know why....it's just an assumption.

No most Scots, and for that matter Welsh and Northern Irish, think of themselves first and foremost as the country of their Birth, so in this case Scottish first, then British... doesn't matter where they live either on the British isles or further afield in the world.. always they are first and foremost the country of their Birth, then British...

Usually the only person who would describe themselves as British first would be someone born and raised in England...

Thanks.

Yeah, that's what I thought. So I wonder why Sean's videos always say "Brit sees New York" and Brit does this and that?

I'm not asking you, I'm just wondering. The guy even has a Scottish accent, so it seems odd.
Maybe I'll read his profile...maybe that'll explain it.

Max, the cordless Kenmore, does a good job with kitty litter and long hair. Absolutely a keeper.
