A couple of my planned projects for this year will get pushed to next year. I always set my goals too high.
My latest project is a red light therapy booth. The earthing mats are helping with aches and pains, most notably with her arthritis, but 20 minutes of daily meditation, flooded with red light from therapy bulbs can't hurt.
I haven't finished the outside yet in case I want to add more lights.

Just a ho-hum routine day. Cold but sunny.

I don't think I can hold out much longer for eggplant parm, so I may go out and buy some and then mess the kitchen making it.

My dog is doing very well considering. She limps a little, but no signs of real pain. She's happy, playful as she can be at 14, so I think she won't need surgery.

@Georgiagranny , I wish I could have some of those cheesecakes!

Do you have your own frig or use the main one?
I have a fridge/freezer. It's a full kitchen...cabinets, range/oven, fridge/freezer, sink and plenty of counter space. DD complains because it's nicer than hers.

I wish I could have some of those cheesecakes!
I wish I could send you some;)

🛼 Wow!!! I had a fantastic time at the rink yesterday!!!! We got there later than we used to, and left earlier than we used to....no driving in the dark!

While there, I had a great time actually SKATING with my friends, instead of working! I still helped out a bit here and there, but mostly I just had fun!!!

🐔 I brought home lots of "scraps" for The Girls, so I'll be busy today cutting up pizza crusts and whatever. They are soooo spoiled!!!

I also want to do some

like run vinegar through the coffee maker, and other exciting things.

Did I mention that I started writing out my Christmas cards? I was able to mail the one for Scotland, yesterday. 🎄

🍳 I guess it's time to make breakfast...have a good day!

And here I thought you were preparing for night time ice fishing.

Cold, and overcast today ..the low will be 40.. there definitley seems to be a feel of snow in the air.. I just want it to not come here.. especially not for tomorrow , when I have to drive into the city for the hospital appt...I've waited 9 months for this, I can't cancel because of Snow...

I got the Newel Painted today...after the paint was knocked off the corner of it yesterday...

It'll be dark again in an hour, it seems like we go to bed, get up, and it's dark again....so the nights seem very long...

Hawkie, I'm the same.. I no longer send Christmas cards except to my Daughter... , and I hand mail the ones for my neighours.. and there will be 2 less this year.. My old neighbour of 103 .. wh went into care.. and my young vibrant happy-go-lucky neighbour of 46 who died from Liver cancer... :(

Did you ever participate in roller derby. I always of you as being feisty and fun enough, at least that’s my perception of the sport.

While I’m asking questions, how do you pronounce your name.
I love that you think I'm tough enough for roller derby!!! 😂🙃😅 Actually, I'm a wimp! So, no.....never did the roller derby circuit!

As far as pronouncing my online name, it's "Try-la". There is an interesting story as to how I picked that name.....

There are 3 large lakes near Branson. Many businesses incorporate this into their name.

There is a car dealership called Tri-Lake Jeep and Ford. They used to run a series of animated comercials, featuring Roger (the owner) and he happy - but obnoxious - dog, Trila Ke.

(NOTE: the space is moved over from the name of the business, and the name of the dog. "Tri Lake" vs "Trila Ke".)

I absolutely fell in love with this animated dog. She was so happy and outgoing!!!! I decided that her positive personality was exactly what I wanted!!!!

So that is how I became Trila Ke. There are several commercials, here is just one....

This morning was a wash because I went to the supermarket with DD/DGD. They were just going to "pick up a couple of things" so that we could have sausage with red beans and rice for supper. $185 later... 🤷‍♀️

I spent the last half hour of the trip sitting on a bench at the store waiting for them.

This week's Aisle of Shame had warming pads for kitties to lie on. They don't get plugged into anything; the kitty's body heat is what generates the pad's heat. Maggiecat is the happy recipient of one, and I swear that the only way to get her off it would be with a crowbar! Every now and then she gets up to stretch, get a drink of water or visit the litter box, then goes right back to lie down on it.

Maybe I'll make the cheesecake tomorrow.
Thanks for the report on the kitty warmer. I have been curious about that. It sounds like a winner.

Taking care of birds in winter. A male hummingbird is at the left feeder. For protection, the feeders are located under the carport.

For longevity (I am close to 89) I keep my gut biome happy, like with Kimchi, Kefir, Sauerkraut, Greek Yogurt, Fiber supplements, etc. MSN
