Not justifying, explaining. People can and do get rich destroying the lives of others. Jesus knew they couldn't get to heaven. He didn't say to kill them on earth. But he knew the truth of many of the rich. He explained the situation, didn't call for arms.

Every country has its problems - surely there are issues in AU that Americans don't face, and therefore don't fully understand.

I'd wager virtually all Americans (either directly or in a secondary connection) know someone who paid outrageous medical bills because insurance wouldn't cover them. Or they had no insurance and bills for something as mundane as a broken arm literally ran into the tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars.

It's hard for us to feel sympathy for a CEO who, by the stroke of a pen or design of profit-minded, heartless algorithms, shortened and/or made miserable, literally millions of lives.

I don't know a single American adult (not ONE) who hasn't done a medical insurance tap dance at some point, and/or got hit with a very high co-pay, and/or had necessary claims outright denied.

The world is seeing the American people's frustration and fury for decades of being systematically fleeced by the entire medical industry (doctors, hospitals, pharma and insurance companies included).

Here's the latest from the NY Times...

A man is being held for questioning in connection with last week’s killing of a health insurance executive in Midtown Manhattan, according to three law enforcement officials briefed on the investigation.​

The man was identified based on a tip from someone who spotted him in a McDonald’s restaurant, one of the officials said, and was being held Monday in Altoona, Pa.​

The man had a gun, a silencer and false identification cards similar to those they believe the killer used in New York, according to one of the law enforcement officials and a person briefed on the investigation. While the man is said to have been in possession of a gun like the one used in the shooting, he has not been arrested or charged, and the authorities have not yet released his name.​

Let's hope that's not the guy, but it sounds like it might be.

Pepper: Not all people screw over others to gain wealth.
Wealth isn't necessarily a bad thing.
The wealthy nor anyone else should be a target for murders such as this.
It is understandable someone would feel like murdering when frustrated...but to actually DO such an act and people cheer this behavior on? Not.

Matthew 19:24 is a warning that if one WORSHIPS wealth, over all other in life, it is hard to get into heaven.
A wealthy man who does good with his money and does NOT worship money over God...then wealth is perfectly fine and a blessing.

I am far from rich, but I would never wish someone who does have money - who uses it for whatever they want - to die simply because they have money.

Having money is difficult, when one has great amounts of wealth one cannot trust anyone's motives. We all need to be careful of what we wish for. Money gives us choices but it creates terrible jealousies, etc: just look at people who cheer this recent murder on! Good Lord! Two wrongs certainly do not make a right.
 
Looks to me like they got the guy. I have to admit, I would have rather seen him just quietly disappear into society, where he could be left to judge his own actions on their own merit. But those photos of him on the media showed his face too clearly. With everyone all over the country seeing them, he would surely be recognized by someone.

Does he still qualify to buy insurance?
 
He'll have a great time as somebody's bitch in NY state Prison.
He could have gone back to Waldo World and hid in a mop closet.

I'm surprised we haven't heard of a reward offered.
Bob can overhaul the health system so only the rich need insurance.
