How to take down semi-circular panel over window

There are two of these in the bedroom. I wanted to clean behind them - they haven't been touched except front cleaning since I moved in 3 years ago. I tried to move them up, down, left, right, in and out, but they won't budge and I didn't want to force them. There is just wall behind them - no window (I checked by looking at the outside). Anyone dealt with this window treatment before? How are they removed?

They are fastened with screws, hanging on some sort of hangers, or at worst glued (which is doubtful). Get a bright flash light and a step ladder to get a good close look.

I have some small rechargeable super-bright flashlights I always have on hand for such a thing. They are well worth it.

They are flush with the wall, so I can't get behind them with anything.
They may be struck in with double sided sticky tape ? it was used allot in Australia for window furnishings.

If you want removed you may have to repaint the wall …. as you’d prob need a paint scraper to remove the
window feature/ decoration…are your walls painted or wallpapered .?

If you peel up paint, you will need to do more than just repaint. You will have to fill and sand with drywall joint compound. Then prime. Then paint, and if you can't match the paint, paint the entire wall and maybe the entire room! Yes, a BIG job. I have done it a number of times.

So do a little investigating, and see if this can come off without all kinds of damage before proceeding. Otherwise, just vacuum and clean as best you can.

100% agree @Michael Z It could tun into a huge expensive
job .

It kinda look like it’s possibly plastic frame coated with fabric window decoration

I think I would get one of the micro-fiber (feather)
dusters..and just swoosh over it..any dust gone..
or, at least, move to another area of the room😉

If you do not see any screws passing thru, then my guess is that they hang on screws with some sort of imbedded hardware on the back. Gently try to bump them upwards and then lift away.

They aren't glued to the wall - they swing back and forth. Seem to pivot at a point near the top center, but still can't figure how to get them down.
If it's mounted on a hinge maybe you can drive the pin out of the hinge. Take close up picture of the "pivot point", that will give us a clearer picture.

Your first post said it didn't move, so maybe I'm misunderstanding what you mean by it "pivots". If it is fixed and rigid I believe Michael Z probably has the correct answer how it's mounted. If that is how it's mounted you would have to push it straight up until it unslots. Be careful, if its metal it could be heavy and awkward to handle. It may also be stuck to the wall due to paint, which if that's the case you may want to leave it.

That did it! I lifted straight up and with a little elbow grease, the panels lifted out. There were a few cobwebs behind them, but less than I had thought. Guess I just didn't use enough oompah before, but I didn't want to break anything. Below are photos of the back of a panel and a close-up of the hardware and the wall where one was. Thanks for all the suggestions!
