Christmas Music - Post it Here!

There are a lot of versions of this one; my kids grew up to this one; we'd sing it in the car. I can't listen to it any longer; it makes me too sad given the estrangement from my son. I wonder if he ever hears this (e.g., over a store intercom) and thinks of me.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote the poem “Christmas Bells” in 1863, during a bitter in American history - the Civil War. It tells of hearing Christmas bells, but despairs that "hate is strong and mocks the song of peace on earth, good will to men". Longfellow's poem was adapted into the Christmas carol “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day”, which concludes with the bells ringing out that "God is not dead, nor doth He sleep" and there will ultimately be "peace on earth, good will to men".
